I booked a table for two in a week, but it turned out to be so small that we couldn't order more than one dish, we were refused another place that turned out to be free! The steak looked attractive, but for 20 minutes they tried to cut it to eat
We went mainly for happy hour oysters and cocktails and share a main but we were told because it was Valentine's Day, they weren't offering it. I did not see that anywhere on their website. Cocktails were good and my husband liked the scallop ceviche starter and his fish and chips. I ordered a fish burger and got a beef burger but didn't say anything. It wasn't great and fries were not hand cut. Wine was good but expensive. Atmosphere and service was lovely. I'd go back for happy hour oysters and cocktails!
Service was very good - we asked to move our table as the cold air when the main door opened was very uncomfortable. They were able to accommodate us right away. Server was friendly and very attentive. Issue with lighting in washroom as they did not work in the women's washroom and unfortunately was not addressed before we left Impacted more than just me).
Amazing little venue close to everything. I had lobster which was not the best but need to remember this isn't the high season for it. My husband had lobster crab roll and said it was very good. Service was amazing. I would recommend a visit.
We had a wonderful time at Little fish. It was not busy at all and we got wonderful service from Kaitlyn. Little fish has a limited menu so our server allowed us to order from the five fishermen menu. My wife had the muscles and I had a beet and goat cheese salad and The five Fsherman Experience. All of it was amazing. So much flavor. The ambiance of the Little Fish is nice and we were able to take our time and never felt rushed. A piece of advice, a lot of menu items say " market price" so make sure to ask. The price may surprise you. Overall it was worth the price.
Absolutely wonderful food, very pricey, but totally delicious 😋 my friend and I split three appetizers and had a few glasses of wine before the concert, beautiful atmosphere warm and inviting with lots of original stonework. And one of the oldest most historic buildings in halifax, and right next to the metro center
The staff was incredibly helpful and pleasant. I ordered steak that was prepared much too rare. It had to be cooked more but I was asked if I would like everything else warmed and was given a complimentary dessert. Our server, Anthony, was very good. The restaurant shares a kitchen with the Auction House so it would be nice to see the menu offer more items. The atmosphere was good.
If you are looking for the five fisherman, make a reservation.
The little fish wine bar is a hidden gem.
Caitlin was great, as was the happy hour, $8 drinks and $1.50 oysters! Whoa!
I am really liking this East Coast tradition.
Crobster roll was excellent, as was the salmon.
Dining room was very cozy, and the bar was incredible. A must stop if you are in the area.

My opening dish was called Burrata had a small cut half round. It was overwhelmed by the salad. You also miss the experience of cutting into the round and having the whey ooz out. Tasty, but falsely advertised. I'd rather pay more for a proper Burrata dish.
The lobster thermador was ok, but I'd still prefer a regular steamed lobster dinner. The carrots, though apparently blanched, were very hard and I prefer a creamy coleslaw.
I sent back the toffee cake dessert. The cake was cold, the toffee was cold and hard and insufficient in amount even if it were warm.
Service was great.

An ok restaurant. Odd for a wine bar to have such a small selection. Food was ok, nothing exciting, creative, or special tasting.

We have been down to Little Fish twice this summer for their happy hour and absolutely loved it. The drink menu is lovely and the oyster deal cant be beat. We love the shaded patio. Andrew was so kind and we were so impressed that he remembered us on our second visit! We will be back!

One of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in a while. The serving staff needs to be better trained. We had to ask for butter for the lobster, a steak knife for the steak, the food was cold and not seasoned. Tap water ‘refilled’ into our sparkling water glasses. We were expecting better after reading the other reviews.

Stopped in after seeing the good reviews and being an extension of the Five Fishermen. My whole group were disappointed with our meals. Two got the lobster dinner, I got the lobster Thermidor, and my partner got the mussels. We were expecting the price, but weren’t expecting the lobster to be small, overcooked, rubbery, and kind of tasteless. Even our sides like the potatoes and salads were mediocre at best. The mussels were okay and a decent price. I think we would have rather eaten at the Five Fishermen because it seemed much busier and more popular, but who knows since they’re affiliated. The service and vibes were good, but I would go somewhere else if you’re looking for a good meal.

They were very kind and prompt in accommodating our request of 150 oysters during happy hour! Loved it here and would highly recommend.

Dinner was awful. We had a group of 28. Unfortunate as the space is nice. There are too many great places in Halifax to eat - this is not one of them. Look elsewhere.
