Sorry to say but decidedly average. Service was good and they have a good wine selection. It was a little expensive but I get the market that they are going after. I'm afraid that the food just wasn't that tasty. That said, the bread thingy was amazing as was the crab curry.

A delightful wine bar. The service was amazingly good. The only reasons I didn't give it 5 stars were because the wine prices are on the very high end (at least $65, up to $160 or more), and the music on the PA system was terrible (can'treally describe it other than some sort of rap?), not in keeping with a high end wine bar at all.

Well, an original wine selection, an interesting menu to share, fresh and tasty. It s my third time and still remains a good place to end a good touristic day in Halifax

Food, Menu, and Value Review: 195$ for 2. The staff is great BUT the Menu is pretentious, confused and not a good value. The scallops were ok but into tiny pieces for some reason and it seems they did this to make it look like you are getting more. The asparagus was delicious and the largest portion of food from the menu but it's just an overpriced bowl of asparagus with a Japanese kick and egg on top. The monkfish was dry and chewy. The snow crab was also chopped and drenched in a red pepper chipotle type sauce which overpowered and destroyed the flavor of the crab, totally pointless. I think we got one leg worth of meat. The duck confit is only thing worth purchasing on the menu. The Maltagliati was absolutely terrible and whoever created that dish should take it off the menu. It's triangles of pasta drenched in a nasty smokey cheese sauce but not in a good way. The cheapest wine is 49$ per bottle and they have some very overpriced beers. To conclude the staff is great but the food is misguided, tiny portioned, unbalanced, and not a good value. They are right next to a bounty of the ocean and they ruin the true flavors with sauces and conflicting flavors. Let the crab speak for itself, don't kill it with a Spanish chipotle sauce. We live in nova Scotia. 195$ for two including tip. Very disappointed with the food. With so many other options for fine dining you would think they would want to do something well and right but the chef is trying way too hard. Different is good but only if it tastes good.

One of the best restaurants in Halifax. The food was spot on and the service and ambiance were also excellent. I had the oysters, mussel fritters, Arctic char and cavatelli

Great spot!! We came in late on a Tuesday and were happy to here the kitchen was still open. Our waiter was better then perfect and the food top notch. Amazing vegetarian and gluten free options. It's small but sweet we loved the decor as well.
