Have been visiting this place for more than 6 years now, have never been this frustrated. Today (Jan 1, 2026) I arrived with my friends exactly 15 minutes (9:45pm) before shop-closing and was told they wouldn’t serve ice cream. The reason given was there was only one staff and that there were some prior orders that couldn’t be finished before had to be finished/delivered before shop closes. I understand closing prep, but it was still during business hours. If the shop is still open, customers should be able to order. We had brought in our kids too and had to request to at least take their orders. Mixing on the ‘slab’ was refused for the same at first but we stated we wouldn’t take the ice creams without the slab-mixing.
Truly disappointing that too on New Year’s night!
Marble Slab Creamery - We were actually asked to come an hour earlier before shop closure to avoid such situations. I would humbly request the owners if that’s the case, customers should be notified about the same to avoid such inconvenience.

01/01/2026- Worst customer service ever seen!! We were there at 9:45 PM and the store closes at 10:00PM. The girl working over there simply just refused to serve ice cream and said please come back tomorrow. We drove from Cole harbour for almost 25 minutes just to hear a ‘No’ from a rude employee of Marble slab.

Update: the owner let me know that the cake i received was not correctly made and we got another filled with double Mixin's! Yay.
Everything about service and ordering was great. But i got a peanut butter cup ice-cream cake and I'm SO bummed. There is nothing in the cake???? If youre ordering an ice-cream cake be prepared to get JUST an ice cream cake. Solid chocolate ice-cream. Theres nothing in it. Really disappointed for $40. Ive had lots of marble slab in store and its awesome so i was really shocked to find nothing in there.

A big Kudos to Halifax Marble Slab Creamery! This is my mom’s favourite place for her birthday cake so I ordered a peanut butter chocolate cake for her 78th. When my husband went to pick it up, they didn’t have the order- I had forgotten to send the order in 🫣. The staff madly worked to build my mom her favourite birthday cake for her birthday dinner. Ah-mazing service! Thank you and so sorry for the stress!!! 🙏
