The classic highish-end fish restaurant in Halifax (there are a few even more expensive mind you). It has changed over the years, as one expects, but in the end it remains a solid, traditional, seafood restaurant. The fare was good without being particularly innovative. The atmosphere is pleasant with some funky folk art and even motifs that go back 40 years to add to a nostalgia factor. The service was exceptional. We went to this restaurant today to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The food was perfect: the sweet pea risotto with scallops was very tasty, the lamb was perfectly cooked, and the dessert was good.
