“Six of us went to 902 for supper last night before the comedy show and we all loved our food! The Syrian Shawarma sandwich with garlic sauce was fantastic! Two types of delicious rice. The fries have a bit of spice on them. The lamb chops were also wonderful. We will definitely go back!“

“We went for Dine Around 2026, but not our first visit to Darya. The menu is consistently excellent, with surprising and always delicious combinations of flavors. We went for the mantı which delicious. The star of this year's Dine Around menu though is the lamb adana, an incredible mix of textures and flavors. As always service was excellent, personable but not intrusive. Our group of 6 was very well taken care of throughout. Thanks to the staff for an excellent evening.“

“Thank you Colleen for making our evening extra special. We have eaten in many restaurants around the world including Greece but you took our experience to a whole no level. The meal was exceptional but the customer service was out of this world.The way you handled our wine choice and meals were exceptional 😉 . Oh did I say the meals and Greek Cheese cake were delicious too. It was an evening we will never forget. We will be back!“

Lobster dinner was delicious, and cooked almost to perfection.
Side salads could be a bit bigger for the price you pay, but overall a very good dinning experience.

“10/10 every time I go. Service and food is wonderful and bailie is the best waitress, she is so funny and always has the best recommendations. Sheri is an awesome bartender and makes the best Caesar’s. The inside is decorated unlike anything I’ve ever seen and I would say this is easily my favourite place to go in the city.“

“Hands Down the Best Shawarma place in Halifax !!
I’ve been to City Shawarma many times, and every single visit has been consistently amazing. The food is always incredibly fresh, flavorful, and made with real love and pride. You can truly taste the tradition in every bite — from their perfectly seasoned shawarma to their crispy falafels, fluffy rice, and fresh, vibrant salads.
The restaurant is spotless, the service is always friendly, and you can tell the team truly cares about what they do. My friend Ahmad Qadoomi, recommended this place to me, and I have to say — what an amazing recommendation! He was absolutely right about how much pride these guys take in their food and how authentic their flavors are.
City Shawarma has easily become my go-to spot in Halifax for authentic Middle Eastern food. Highly recommend!“
