Wow – Mirchi Tandoor completely blew us away! From the first bite to the last, it was a total flavour explosion. The masala dosa was perfectly crispy and packed with flavour, and the chicken karai was so rich and delicious it honestly felt like a celebration in every bite.
But what really sets this place apart is their tandoor. They are the only restaurant I’ve been to that actually does justice to it. The naan was soft, fluffy, and just the right amount of charred. And don’t even get me started on the tandoori chicken – juicy, smoky, and seasoned to perfection. It’s a must must must try. Honestly, if you're going there and not ordering something from the tandoor, you're missing out big time.
The place has great vibes, the service is friendly, and the food is served fresh and hot. You can really tell the chefs care about what they’re putting on the plate.
Hands down one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Do yourself a favour and go eat at Mirchi Tandoor – your taste buds will thank you!

On a rainy afternoon around 2 PM, my coworkers and I ordered from Mirchi Tandoor in Halifax—and it was an absolute delight! We got samosas, papdi chaat, butter chicken, naan, and biryani. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and deeply satisfying.
The butter chicken was rich and creamy, the naan soft and perfect, and the biryani full of aroma and spice. The papdi chaat and samosas were crispy, tangy, and delicious.
As you can see in the photo, we were all smiles—great food brings people together! Highly recommend Mirchi Tandoor for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine in Halifax.

Too good, the masala dhosa was so so so rich in taste without too much spice, oil or food colour - just a perfect normal sabji which tastes so yummy. After eating it we still felt light and good stomach. Definitely must try.

I ended up ordering from this restaurant one evening while on business in Halifax Nova Scotia. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the chicken vindaloo was. For dessert I ordered the gulab jamun and Rasmalai. The Gulab Jamun was very good. The Rasmalai was actually pretty good as well. One thing that I was pleasantly surprised about is that the chicken vindaloo came with potatoes which appears to be a rarity in Halifax. I previously ordered from another local Indian restaurant and no potatoes were provided. One of the reasons for ordering a chicken vindaloo is for the potatoes. I will definitely be ordering from this restaurant if ever in Halifax in the future.
Accommodating to our time, good food. I would suggest to try Manchurian here for all vegetarians out there.

I recently ordered chaat papdi through DoorDash, and unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. The dish was not crunchy due to the curd and chutney, which had already been mixed in, making everything soggy. It would have been much better if the dahi and chutneys were served on the side, as is common practice with other restaurants in the city. The rest of the order was okay, but this really affected the overall experience.
