Morris East + Slice Shop (Quinpool Neighbourhood)

Really excellent pizza. We had the pepperoni and the Hawaiian. Using what appears to be a fresh pineapple for the Hawaiian can be a risky move but they nailed it by caramelizing it to make sure it’s sweet and the texture is pleasant. The crust was very flavorful. The only thing I would have taken any point away for would be the tomato sauce, it isn’t my favorite, and it would have been exceptional if there was a little bit of a crisp (but we did order take away) so I’m not taking any stars away. It was top notch pizza. Go get it if you haven’t tried it.

Best pizza I've had in Nova Scotia hands down. The style of thin crust pizza they make here, with the quality of the topings and especially quality of cheese on the pizza is amazing. It doesn't taste like a greasy, loaded cheap pizza thatll make you feel like garbage for 2hrs after you eat it like some of the large chain pizza places here that pump out pizzas with cheap toppings/ingredients. All around great experience and awesome spot for a slice. Will be back

Pizza made with craftsmanship, What an unbelievable experience. Lauren Took care of us, we have two young kids. She was exceptional. Short of juggling for them .

The Mediterranean pizza had a bitter taste, and the Margherita pizza was overwhelmed by an excessive amount of tomato paste. Unfortunately, the dough was bland and lacked flavor. We only managed to eat one slice of each pizza before deciding to leave the rest. It would have been more helpful if the staff had asked if we were dissatisfied with the food, rather than simply commenting, 'What a waste.'

That said, the decor is warm and inviting, creating a welcoming atmosphere that I’ve always appreciated. I’ve had many delicious meals here since they first opened at Morris and Barrington, so I’m hopeful that this was just an off night. I’ll definitely visit again and try something else, trusting that the quality I’ve enjoyed in the past will shine through once more.

The food here is delicious! We ordered the lemon chicken pizza and the caesar salad which paired great together! Both very tasted fresh as well! The atmosphere was nice and quiet making it a good place to take a break and chat.

Our visit didn’t start well. The waitress was so focused on her phone that she didn’t noticed we were “waiting to be sit” by the door sign (as the sign read). Although she explained the specials, her attitude throughout was of not the best.

Another negative, small flies surrounding our food at all times. No candles or anything like that to make them go away.

Now, the positive. The food was excellent. Good portion sizes, came out fast enough, and very flavourful.

We will try another location the next time.

Had a delicious meal tonight at the Larry Uteck location with my family. Portions were very large and great taste. But what made our night is the incredible server we had who was both witty, charming, funny while also very professional. He made my parents and grandmother all smile and laugh which was really appreciated. It is excellent service and quality staff which make a resteraunt not just the food and clearly Morris East knows this.

Good Pizza. But $4 for carbonated tap water? C’mon… At first it was free (I wanted to buy bubbly and the guy that was there was kind enough to offer me carbonated tap water for free. (Maybe he forgot to charge?) Now suddenly it’s $4… I could understand if it was $2. But $4 is almost the price of a beer in some places ? so next time just upsell me to a beer and case closed.

Wow.
First of all, I found that the quality/price ratio is hard to beat. For 43 dollars I got my pizza a beer tax and service. In 2024 it’s a good price. Especially since the pizzas are delicious. Good service. Very quite family atmosphere I would say.
