New Wing Wah is the best Chinese Restaurant in the Herring Cove area (out of of 3 options). They have the best combination of value for money and delicious dishes. My family has been infrequently ordering from this restaurant for the last decade and a half, and I can't remember ever being disappointed. If you get a chance, try out Combo 12, Smelt Fish, or the Boneless Crispy Chicken (C10). They're my go-to dishes!!
There's a very good reason why they don't need to be on delivery apps. This business is resilient with consistent service, value, and reliably delicious meals.

No idea what the atmosphere might be like to dine in, however they were very welcoming when I arrived for pickup. The food was delicious and the portions were huge! Left overs for days! Price is fair for the quantity of food you get. I don't order the breaded items, but the Cantonese Chow Mein, Beef and Broccoli, House Rice and Spring Rolls were delicious! Overall, I would highly recommend this place for take-out.

The worst Chinese food we’ve ever had. The chow mein is mr.noodles and was so over cooked it fell apart and turned to mush. The vegetables are fresh, but no sauce or flavour at all. We are left incredibly confused because all the reviews are good. We can only assume that they must buy anything deep fried premade because the non deep fried dishes were so bland I’m so confused. Watery and tasteless and grey beef.
The customer service girl is really nice.

I have loved this place ever since I first got food here. Every time I’m in Halifax to visit family I come here. They greet me with a smile and even know my name! I order the same thing everytime. Sweet and sour chicken balls. Very consistent in flavor and texture even over the years very little has changed. The buffet is closed, which is sad, but I understand why and will not let that affect my review. The servers are quick and accurate. The food always leaves me satisfied. The atmosphere is one of a kind. I wish New Wing Wah was in the town I live.
