For a space in downtown Halifax, I feel that there's very little effort put into cleanliness, service, and atmosphere. Could be a cool spot but instead it really just feels like a waste.

There are much better bars around, where service is actually good and you'll be safe. The Local is an alternative that's safe, clean, and doesn't hate gays or taunt honest reviewers.

Don't feel safe in this space. Came here at the recommendation of a friend to just check it out a few weeks ago and the service wasn't great the bartenders were rude the atmosphere wasn't inviting at all and we both felt unsafe we didn't finish our drinks or wait for our food we paid and got out as fast as we could. I would not recommend this space because it's not safe for my female friends or LGBTQ+

How is this place still open?! The food is awfulllll, the service is slowwww, they place is disgusting, it reminds me of a local bar in the valley or the middle of nowhere that never gets upgraded and runs the same every year and just has the same alcoholics keeping it open, surely the safety regulations are not met at this place, the washrooms alone feel like they haven’t been cleaned since 2001 lol

My husband and I thoroughly enjoy Oasis, cheap drinks and food, a great place for students to enjoy however, just be safe walking in the area as people are sketchy but not only the people in the area, the staff too. Everytime my husband and I go, the same security guard gives him a hard time, last night he let him go through and said under his breath "fake." Why on earth would a 28 year old and 24 have a fake ID to go to OASIS. The bartender gave him a dirty look for ordering a pitcher. Were allowed to order whatever we'd like to with out feeling constantly judged by every staff member we encounter. I get that it's not the best job to have but you chose that job treat people with respect.

First time here ! Totally different atmosphere . Recommended by two folks to try the Pitcher for $15 bucks. I was like you wont get a pitcher in Halifax for 15! Why not try this spot . Bartender Guy told for $15 bucks they only serve two of them . Think I tried the bourbon . Man I have to be honest here . My personal opinion, here that is not worth for 15. It won’t give you that kick after a beer.
Okay! So here is the good part . Goodness the food there we had was so amazing . I just ordered a pepperoni . Wow. Delicious . Maybe i will go back again for some nice food . Try a different beer lol .
I wanted to try another beer . Craving one more and hoping it might be better than the first . This time tried Oland in a bottle . Again disappointed . I might come back bartenders are nice . It is a tavern. Totally different vibe wish i was more high . Haha .
Just the best spot for karaoke. Always a friend there or a friend to be made. Be brave, do it!

Great spot on a Thursday evening. Our waitress had purple in her hair and was amazing, I didn’t catch her name! Chicken wings were good, beer was good. Karaoke was a fun time.

Love this place!
However, in the past few visits have experienced a very negative energy from one of the bartenders/servers. Short guy white beard. As far i remember his name is Danny. Very unprofessional in the way of treating their customers. It looks like they are just there for their hours and then done. No interest in the work itself. Our order was ignored and also unwanted/unnecessary comments were passed on us by Danny. This place is great apart from the food and employees with negative attitude as it affects the atmosphere.
Professionalism is needed here. You cannot have a shit face throughout your shift and take customer for granted.
I hope to see their behaviour change and will keep an eye out for any unprofessionalism.

Visited with my wife on holiday from Toronto. Maybe not a first date kind of spot, but the staff (including door crew) were friendly, the prices were right and the karaoke was good. Just wish I had my darts with me!
