Love oasis. Always will. However, can I suggest that at karaoke you limit the amount of songs a person can sign up to sing? Last night there was a few girls who kept signing up repeatedly and singing over and over again and there wasn’t enough time for the rest of us to sing :)

I am beyond disappointed and frustrated with Oasis Pub, Spring Garden, Halifax. We had a confirmed booking weeks in advance to host a private Halloween DJ event with paid ticket sales, artists traveling from across Canada, and full production (LED walls, lighting, sound system) already rented and delivered.
Owner cancels suddenly for Blue Jays Game 7 (fixed only last night). No call, no warning! A 30-second heads-up call? Nope. Forced us to rip down gear, refund everyone, eat travel costs, and torch our reputation - ON THE DAY OF EVENT AT 11AM, where event suppose to start at 8pm.
Very bad behavior, no respect for agreement. Don't book here, only tension and loss. Book elsewhere unless you love surprises!!!

We had an extremely disappointing experience with this place. We had a confirmed booking to host a DJ party on a specific date, which they agreed to well in advance. On the morning of the event, they suddenly backed out, saying they needed to prioritize a sports event — even though they were fully aware of that when we made the agreement.
Because of their last-minute change, we had to redo our entire plan, which ended up costing us double what we initially budgeted. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. If they can’t keep their word on an agreement, I wouldn’t trust what they’re serving either.
I would not recommend working with or booking any events here unless you want last-minute surprises and broken promises.

The guy who hosts karaoke is garbage and ruined my karaoke experience. He kept insisting I hold the mic in my left hand which was completely unnecessary as there were no technical issues. I thought it was weird that he only did that to me when everyone else were allowed to hold it however way they preferred. I am not sure why I was singled out and why he kept interrupting me. He should not be allowed to interfere during Karaoke (unless there are good reasons) as it can be distracting and very unenjoyable. I have been to multiple other Karaoke bars and never seen the karaoke host up on the stage when people are singing. Why is he up there? and why does it matter if I use my left hand or right hand?
Sat down in a booth for 10 minutes. The waitress and waiter behind bar stared at then ignored us. Did not bring a menu or ask if we wanted anything.
Last time we were advised it was too early for food by the older gentleman who was manning the bar. He still came over let us know the kitchen hours. He ensured we felt welcomed and he was very friendly.
Used to be a favorite spot when in the city. Not anymore. We will not be back again.

I wish I didn't have to give negative reviews, BUT they're very lgbtq + unfriendly. my friend who identifies as non-binary use the female bathroom and got called a man by the pink hair manager and we got kicked out. we tried to explain that they were non-binary and the manager said that we were disgusting and she was calling security. security was nice about the situation and said we were invited to come back tomorrow, HOWEVER we were. only in town for the night. they seemed afraid of this pink-haired lady. super disappointed in Nova Scotia, shame on you.

Hannah has been my server for 3 UFC fights and everytime even when busy shes been super helpful, Although she hasnt been my server desiree has been awesome and helpful everytime!

I have attempted oasis on two separate occasions. Both nights google said they were open until 2 am. Every time I go in, the bar staff says they are closed at different times. First it was one 1 am and then they said 1:30 am.
They do not do last call. When I asked the bar tender he said that “he just tells people it’s last call when they come up”.
Don’t waste your time with this stink hole. They close whenever they feel like it because they are dead. Just go to the bitter end or the loose cannon. They actually stay open as late as they advertise and the overall atmosphere is much better.
Do NOT waste your time at oasis.
