Great wine bar and restaurant recommended to us by curated food tours, I had the gnocchi which were absolutely spot on, it's one of my favourite childhood dishes, there is an excellent choice of wine by the glass we had the white Rioja.
It would have been 5 starts as the services as very good, the noise level was fine initially however the music was turned up twice, restaurants and bars are social places were people come to talk, music is fine it's just the level. I would go back

Was out for a girls' night and wanted to do something a bit different - went to Obladee, which is not our norm atmosphere, but enjoy it regardless. However, the prices for their items were surprisingly high for what was received.

Warm, welcoming place. One of a kind in Halifax

Stopped in for a glass of wine with friends to get the evening started. They have wine flights which is the perfect way to try a few wines and see what you like. The atmosphere is cozy and moody, and feels nicely tucked away despite being on a busy street corner.

What a lovely little place The wine selection was delightful, very rarely do I find copper wines. Food was fresh and beautifully presented. The ombionce with live jazz music made it that much more enjoyable , though not great for conversation when playing and tighter spaces .

Wonderful selection of Wines and great live music, was a blast with the family. Delicious charcuterie and cheese boards! We were at in a lovely booth by the entrance perfect for the six of us, the sound was great and if you like people watching you are surrounded by glass to view passersby!

I love coming to Obladee. Excellent and unique wine list, great food options - I love how much the food menu has grown over the last bit. But most of all, the staff are phenomenal. Extremely knowledgeable and kind, they never lead you astray!
Also - the espresso crème brûlée is to die for!

Cool atmosphere and good wine selection although it was a bit pricier. What sucked was the hidden “entertainment fee” of $5 per person that was added on our bill. They advertised having live music on a Thursday night on social media but no where on the menu or boards did they state they charge an entertainment fee. This was also not disclosed by the server. I find this quite shady and would like to warn others from visiting to know of this fee before visiting as we made this mistake and was charged this fee on top of our bill for 1 glass of wine each on a visit that was less than an hour.

Quintessential wine bar. The proprietress knows her wine. Extensive list for all budgets and excellent charcuterie selections along with a lengthy list of other “sides”. The paring of the goats milk fudge (house made) and Tawney Port completed the evening. Intimate downtown location and easy walk from any Halifax hotel a must visit either for a late afternoon wine break or an evening stop when you tire of too many meals on vacation. Would be an excellent afterwork meetup location as well. Just here for a week we’ve been twice. Highly recommend.

Obladee was truly an amazing restaurant experience! The small plates are perfectly executed, with the beef carpaccio and asparagus possibly the best I've ever had. Our server Danielle was very knowledgeable and friendly, and gave great wine recommendations from the well curated wine list. The Lieux Communs Marquette out of Québec was a stand out - fantastic, interesting wine. I also loved my flight of local NS wines.

The atmosphere was charming and well executed, and the music selection is good. The small kitchen that is visible from the dining room gives a sense of connection with the chefs preparing your food and the various sounds and smells that precede the dishes arriving at your table.

I went late on a slow Sunday night with my family and immediately felt welcomed. I'm sad my stay in Halifax won't be longer, so I won't be able to go back and try more wines anytime soon. Next time I'm in Halifax I'll definitely be coming back!
