The place here is Caribbean vibes. Your food comes to the table as it's ready. No specific order. Not all main dishes are served at the same time and that's great. If you want to get in and out, this is not the place for you. The plates have just the right amount of food, full of flavor and authenticity.
They have rum flights from all over the Caribbean. They have the most amazing jerk chicken. When the owner comes to see how you enjoyed your meal, you feel like you've found a little piece of the Caribbean right here in Halifax!

Went at lunch time which only had sandwiches available. The jerk sandwich was huge!!!!...but unfortunately that made it very messy and i had to eat it deconstructed. Besides that the flavours were good but insanely spicy. The patio at the back was very nice.

A co-worker recommended this Caribbean restaurant to me and it did not disappoint at all. The food was amazing and the customer service was excellent. The owner was very welcoming and accommodating. Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend. Can't wait to visit again.

11/10 experience. Meech and his staff have created a 1-of-a-kind tropical experience in the heart of Quinpool road. The wait staff was exceptional with us, handling dietary restrictions with ease while we sat in a beautiful and welcoming back patio. The food was out of this world flavourful and affordable, while the chef came out to talk and ask us how our meal was. The owner even provided a complimentary beverage upon hearing my fiancé and I were recently engaged. Cannot say enough good things about Palm Tree Kitchen and can’t wait to go back!

10/10! This place felt like home. We had the fried fish sandwich and it was so fresh, flavourful and filling. The sandwich came with a side of chips and I got a Switcha blueberry drink which was refreshing. There is a large selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks.
The whole place is a vibe from the music to the decor. The owner was lovely and the service was great. He said we must come back for dinner so I look forward to coming back next time I’m in Halifax.
