After an uncharacteristically unfortunate dining experience, Peacock was back in its stride as an exceptional dining spot. Our Sober Island oysters were luscious, burrato decadent, the doppio ravioli intensely flavourful and the trout fresh and done perfectly. Our server, Mattie, was also exceptional and well versed on the menu and wine. We left feeling well looked after and savouring still all the flavours of the evening! Thank you, Peacock!

Appetizers were great Food was very good Service was really good at the start but as the place got busy, the service got a little worse Our waitress, who was very nice didn't come to ask about our meals until we were almost done. The dessert, a coffee gelato, chocolate, crumble, apricote thing had way way way too much going on Food value was great, drinks and wine are a bit over priced Overall through....it was a nice evening and I'd recommend trying it

Lovely anniversary supper for my wife and I. We did the Chef's Fixe which was great. It was a bit loud when we came in but it became quieter as the night went on. It's a great restaurant and the food and service are excellent. By Halifax standards it's a pricey meal, though it's on or with the nicer spots in Queens Marque.

We love the vibe and setting in this area of Halifax and were excited to try Peacock. Was such a let down and far from a “Wine Bar”. There was no interaction with the staff about the wines or pairings or best options to try. We ordered a Cab Sauv that was terrible and tasted like a cheap Apothic Red. Taste of the wine obviously wasn't the bar's fault but it was almost undrinkable. The food was of average quality. I had the agnolotti and my wife had the halibut cheeks. Neither of us would recommend our meals, especially for the price. This place touts itself as a high end wine bar, and it simply isn't and totally not worth the money. Go to up the street to Obladee and see what it's supposed to be like!

The wait staff were very nice and the design is fun. But it's get very noisy to the left of the bar where tables are concentrated. The cocktails were good and my friend really liked the steak tartare. The charcuterie board was fine but nothing special. But two of us got the mushroom pasta and there was hardly any mushrooms or sauce and it was $33!! Definitely expected more from a Michelin trained chef!

The oysters were amazing! The menu over all was lacking some things. They were out of scallops but made up for it with a little glass of prosecco on the house. I would have liked to have ordered a salad. The mushroom papredelle hardly had any mushrooms and I didn't taste any truffle. I find the quality of food vs price these days is a bit off but over all the experience was good and the food and service were as well.

Wonderful night at the Peacock wine bar. We ate at the bar and had a great night. Created our own Nova Scotia tasting menu and then finished with a local bottle we had never heard of. Kudos to Mark (from New Zealand), the manager, and Tyler, the bartender for showing us a good experience. We would come back for the selection alone.

This quickly became our most favourite meal on our trip to Halifax. The location was great, the decor was beautiful. The vibes were chill and laid back while elevated and special. We ordered the steak tartare which blew us away. The enoki mushrooms exploded with flavour and the halibut cheeks were fantastic! We enjoyed their daily cocktail (cucumber gin creation) and appreciated the refreshing flavours. Already itching to come back if only to enjoy another meal at Peacock again!

We had a wonderful evening at Peacock, e were a group of 5 and we all had the Chef's Fixe menu which was spectacular ! The service was great, we did not feel rushed at all, and were pleased by the low level of noise so we could char among the group and enjoy our celebration. Overall it was a really fun and fantastic experience

Cappelletti with lamb: dry rather flavourless stuffing that could not be salvaged (no matter how hard the kitchen tried to) with the excessive amount of sauce. The two solitudes of a sad interior filling and a bland exterior sauce were kept separate through a chewy and somewhat undercooked iron curtain of pasta dough.

I think the name doesn't do the establishment justice. While it certainly delivers on the wine promise. The food was even better. This is much more than simply a wine bar. An excellent choice for lunch and dinner as well!

Nice ambiance, friendly staff, great plates. Large plates a bit on the high price point but you can find lower cost options. Wine is reasonably priced. Coktails nicely done some $$$ like old fashion but others under $15.

We had a terrible appetizer, the waitress agreed to take it off - it was pickled raw vegetables. Then we ordered both dessert options as we were out for a special night, they were not enjoyable, we didn't say much to not be rude. She did not take off the appetizer as promised, and was busy with others, we paid, tipped and left respectfully regardless.

I regret to say that I forget the servers name, but he was so great! He was able to accommodate my pregnancy restrictions and was able to substitute the first two courses of the Long Lunch. It was delicious. He made me superb mocktails. I felt I was in great hands the entire reservation.

Love this spot! We came for lunch today and shared a handful of small plates. Our server was super nice too, she was attentive but didn’t make us feel rushed at all. Loved the:
- Focaccia with fermented chili butter
- Oysters with prosecco & sherry mignonette
- Burrata with blackcurrants & chamomile
- Lobster roll

We’ll be back!
