Was a great experience. My kid loved the dough they give for kids to play with before the meal. Overall a great place to eat.

Party of 4 who all ordered pizzas except for one person who for the salmon pasta. Everyone liked their pizza, salmon pasta was just ok. I wouldn’t rush back, it was good just not amazing. I wouldn’t rush say 7/10.

After spending time in Naples, I had to check out Trattoria Vesso (I think it was formerly called Piatto, based on other reviews here) since they are True Neapolitan Pizza Association certified. Spoiler: it's not quite Naples, but it's the best pizza I've had in this city.

The atmosphere is cozy, service is friendly if a bit slow, and they've got Italian beers on tap plus solid wine options. The pizza itself is thicker than traditional Neapolitan--somewhere between thin crust and hand-tossed--but the flavor profile is close. The dough lacks that signature airy stretch you get in Naples, but it's still leagues above typical Halifax pizza. I tried the Margherita (a lot less tomato forward than anything you'd find in Naples) and an EVOO pie (the olive oil was much more robust--my favorite).

Thankfully, they don't do the stingy 1-2 basil leaves thing you get in Naples. The EVOO one had prosciutto and arugula that was an excellent touch, you could tell that they liked to use quality ingredients. Real fresh mozzarella on everything, not the cheap shredded stuff.

Best pizza in Halifax? Possibly, but that might not be saying much. Worth the trip? Yes. Will I be back? Yes, but next time I'm getting the pasta.

Friendly staff, quality service and food. I enjoyed their Margherita pizza and a delicious dessert they had (A little pricey though). Unfortunately I didn't have the chance to try their pistachio tiramisu, but they had one and that is my next if I pass by Halifax again:)

I recently visited and I was a bit surprised to be charged extra for chilli flakes a small detail, but unexpected for a place of this standard. Overall, the food was wonderful.

Tried the Margherita pizza. The flavor was ok but it was undercooked, soggy and watery. Very disappointing.
