The menu looked great but while we were waiting to order we saw two mice walking through the restaurant. We left and told the waiter about our concerns but he seemed not surprised.

First of all, they have a wood oven that makes a great difference to bake the pizzas. The wines are good and the staff are friendly, mainly Morgan. Excellent pizza!!

The best pizza in Halifax, bar none. Quality of food is hard to match at any price. I am gluten-free (not by choice) and their in-house made GF dough is the best I have ever had. Nothing comes close. Service is excellent - always. Trattoria Vesso is my favourite restaurant in Halifax.

Pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff. Our server was a trainee(forgot her name).. she had a sweet smile & did the sequence of service so well.
We ordered primavera pizza with tomato sauce as opposed to pesto on the first night we’re in the city, it was really good we decided to order the same thing the next day with pepperoni added. My bf had Negroni & I had the elderflower spritz.. it was light & refreshing.
So, definitely check it out if you’re in the area.

the environment is really nice, and the service is good. Overpriced tho. I also wish they hade more italian pasta dishes, since its harder to find real italian places in halifax. I also think my chicken wasn’t freshly cooked, it was those cooked chicken breast from grocery stores that are ready to eat. That’s upset when we are paying 30$ per person to eat

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant for the first time for our anniversary. We both love pizza and wanted something more low-key, so after reading the reviews we chose this spot. Wow. Firstly, the service was phenomenal. The hostess was friendly and wished us a happy anniversary, but our server really made the experience. She was so pleasant, had a great sense of humor, and was all-around professional. We shared some starters which were delicious, we each got pizzas (mine was gluten free and hands down the best GF crust I've had in Halifax) and we finished with desserts which were unexpectedly covered by the house for our anniversary. We recently returned from a trip to Italy and we both agreed that the quality of ingredients and our meals were on par with what we had in Rome. We will absolutely be making this our new pizza spot! Thanks again!
