We ordered halloumi fries which was listed under ‘Shared plate’ menu and we were surprised to see 4 fries on the plate. It was clearly disappointing.
I made a reservation in the morning and the host asked me ‘if we are celebrating anything today?’ And I told her ‘yes, it’s a birthday celebration’. And this conversation gave me an idea that they might do something special as they asked but nothing like that happened. This one is on me as I set my expectations. Weird enough that our server did not even wish ‘Happy birthday’ after we mentioned again and asked for a candle on our desert.
Talking about mains - pizza and pasta were to die for. Absolutely amazing. Kudos to chef. It reminded me of authentic Italian taste. Light crust, great sauce and amazing toppings. Pasta was creamy and freshly made.
Off the beaten track, however just up from the waterfront is a great Italian resto worth your hill climb! Risotto was delicious and the meatballs very yummy. Margherita pizza is to die for!!! You won't be disappointed!

Right off the beaten path of downtown Halifax lays this gem of a pizza restaraunt. Delicious wood fired pizza with great quality ingredients. Great service all around, extremely quick and attentive servers, could not ask for much more from an establishment.
