Ordered the vermicelli dish through Uber Eats. I understand delivery can affect temperature, but the basic execution still failed. Sadly the dish arrived cold, and soggy - i have brought this issue to Uber Eats attention.
While I recognize this isn’t technically a traditional Siagon style bún bowl, but I had high hopes based on the reviews. Unfortunately, the dish relied heavily on chopped romaine lettuce in place of fresh herbs, which misses the core balance and freshness this style depends on.
The nước chấm was syrupy and overly sweet, and the “grilled” pork lacked the aromatic, savoury character traditionally associated with this dish. Texture, assembly, and flavour balance are fundamental here, and this missed the mark. I wouldn’t order this dish again.

The shrimp pho was incredibly delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The broth had a rich depth of flavour, and the ingredients tasted really fresh. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Definitely a spot I’ll come back to.

I've regularly been to most of the pho restaurants in Toronto and Ottawa. Was worried about Halifax as one other pho spot was not so good. Glad to say that this place is legit! Broth is exactly what I was looking for on a cold, windy day. Pho dac biet has a unique mix. Will come back.

Had the spicy beef noodles soup (Bun Bo Hue) and it was delicious, not as spicy as I would have preferred but still good!
The wings were good as well! Be sure to try the fish sauce wings, delicious!

They have great pho and spring rolls, but their service isn't the best. They do seem to be under staffed, especially at peak times such as weekends. Most recently, I ordered takeout over the phone and upon arrival for pick up, was basically lectured by a staff member on how to order takeout correctly since there were three orders of spring rolls on my bill instead of the one order I wanted. An honest mistake - it's easy for things to get lost in translation over the phone, but instead of lecturing your customers and trying to place blame solely on them, just adjust the bill and move on. Rolling your eyes and berating customers is bad customer service. There are a lot of other great pho places in the city with better service and more pleasant staff.

Girlfriend and I were excited to eat here after all the positive reviews. Placed a pick-up order through Pho Maniac website. When the total came a 23% gratuity was snuck onto the bill. Upon arriving staff messed up girlfriend’s name 4 times on the order. Girlfriend asked for chopsticks - they forgot to put them in the bag.
To top it off the food portions were so small it was genuinely sad when we pulled it out of the bag. For almost $50 I don’t think it’s unfair to expect more than a handful of vermicelli.
The food tasted good but most everything else about the experience was unpleasant. Perhaps dine-in is better.
