What an absolutely amazing breakfast! Met the owner Rudy and his lovely wife Maria! They were so kind, wonderful to chat with, and just overall great people! This place has been open for 42 years! That alone speaks volumes ❤️ we had Rudy's breakfast sandwich, the eggs benny, and took a cookie to go. The cinnamon roll was a little something from Rudy, for us to try them warm, and we'll it warmed our hearts 💕 Thank you for the great hospitality and delicious food!

I ordered from this restaurant and noticed that the egg had black and grey patches, which looked quite unusual. I had already eaten one before seeing it, so I’m a bit worried.
I’m not trying to leave a harsh review, but I’d really appreciate it if the restaurant could explain what happened.

Went for a breakfast sandwich. Got an excellent sandwich, and a sample bowl of their beef stroganoff. Both were fantastic. My 8 year old had their pancakes. He said they are as good as mine, 😒 we both left stuffed and happy. This place is a gem in downtown Halifax. The owner and his son were very friendly and generous. Made us feel so welcome. If you want great fresh food, served by people who are genuinely happy to greet you at a reasonable price. This is the place. They know how to run a restaurant. Well done Rudy!!!!!!

Decent food, decent coffee. On uber eats they made buy one get one free sandwiches sound like a great deal when in person the sandwiches are half the price.

Rudy, Rene & the staff at “Rudy’s” are warm, kind & helpful. We feel a peace of mind that our university son living next door is dining daily at “Rudy’s”. The food is made from scratch and delicious! I have never had such creamy & delicious seafood chowder. We enjoyed breakfasts, coffee & freshly made cinnamon buns & muffins. Delicious. A Halifax gem.
