The brisket tacos were amazing. Just the right amount of everything, and just a touch of heat. Cilantro rules the world.

Easily the best tacos is Halifax! We’ve tried numerous different restaurants, and these are by far our favourite!

Tried the Patacone with chicken and it was amazing! Meat was really flavourful and juicy and the garlic sauce was so yummy. I don’t usually like plantains but they did a really great job and made it crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Would definitely come back.

We’d been wanting to try this spot for a while, but their hours didn’t always line up with the other food stalls in the area (they sometimes opened later and closed earlier). When we finally got the chance, the guy working the stall really hyped up his empanadas—so as an empanada lover, I had to give them a shot. (For context, my Argentinean uncle’s mother makes the best I’ve ever had, so the bar is high!)
I went with the braised beef empanada and thought it was very delicious. The filling was rich and flavourful, and while the pastry wasn’t quite the style I’m used to, I still enjoyed it a lot. My wife went with the black bean empanada, but unfortunately it wasn’t her thing—she was expecting something more like black bean patty bits in the center, but instead it was just packed with slimy beans. The dipping sauce helped, but overall she wasn’t a fan.
That said, this place was definitely popular and buzzing, and if you’re into empanadas it’s worth checking out!

Just near perfection, fresh food, quality ingredients. Street food at its best.

Nothing authentic about it. Food is bland and greasy.

I was excited for these patacones but they were just a soggy mess. Too oily and bad flavour all around. I would not buy them again or recommend. It’s a shame :(

I stopped by this spot on the Halifax waterfront for lunch and tried the pork patacones - absolutely mouthwatering! The pork was juicy, crispy, and perfectly seasoned, and the toppings complemented the dish beautifully. It was packed with flavour and definitely hit the spot. I highly recommend giving it a try, and I’ll be returning for more!

The chips and guac were so disappointing. Probably only half an avocados worth of guac. The mexicana salad was 95% lettuce and the avocado on it was frozen then thawed so a terrible texture and taste. I couldn’t even eat it. Prices were very high for very bad food

Stumbled upon this little place on the Halifax Waterfront. The staff was super friendly and the food is amazing. The tacos were full of flavour and served in, what appeared to be handmade tortillas. If you are strolling along the waterfront... Run, don't walk... You need to try this amazing Latin cuisine.
