Sea Smoke Restaurant & Bar

My family loves this restaurant and we frequent it because the food is amazing (highly recommend the rock shrimp and crispy rice).

Food was delicious! We took the recommendations from our server and he was spot on! All of it was great!

Lobster pad Thai and a couple types of sushi water amazing. Loved every bite and can't wait to return!!

We have been to Sea Smoke many times, and have always enjoyed it. This time somewhat different, indifferent service, food less than expected; the tenderloin was poorly trimmed, and served cool ( but cooked properly ), vegetables greasy. Otherwise as usual, beautiful harbour view, lovely atmosphere.

Made reservation on Open Table . Very easy! When asked if it was special occasion said yes it was a birthday celebration. We ordered our cocktails and appetizers. The drink was a Nova..very tasty and the appetizers came - dragon roll was just ok and wontons excellent. Two people ordered the prime rib and two ordered the lobster pad Thai. Both who ordered the beef were very pleased - it was cooked perfectly and they really enjoyed it. The lobster pad Thai was tasty but both diners found the lobster overcooked or maybe prepared ahead and it was dry and a bit tough. It was a busy night and the service was spotty. We were rushed between appetizers and entree, then when finished entree sat with plates in front of us for a long time. We had the “mushroom” for dessert which was outstanding. Again had to wait to get the plates and utensils needed to eat the dessert. The waitress was pleasant and nice but not attentive. I will go back and try other interesting items on the menu as the food overall was very good. No mention of the birthday so not sure why I was asked when booking as it doesn't get picked up by staff.

One of the best restaurants in downtown Halifax - the fish was so fresh. Try the Tuna Crispy Rice, it's something special. Sashimi is to die for.

Best sushi I have had (surf and turf, and the mambo) followed by the magic mushroom for dessert. All while overlooking the ocean . doesn't get much better than that!

Great spot

Lovely atmosphere created by open flame beds in the outdoor tables, in which to enjoy delicious sushi rolls.
