Too salty
It's not just a great spot to stumbled into after the bar!
I popped in for a late friday lunch. Ordered a regular poutine. It was hot, fresh and delicious, exactly what you want in poutine east of Montreal. And it was more than enough for a midnight snack.
Also the 2 ladies working this afternoon were so sweet and friendly. Totally worth the downtown traffic.
It is a hit or miss in this location when it comes to maintaining the taste. I get to see a new person every once in a while when I go there. Very few are able to maintain the taste. Recently, met an Indian working there and she made a poutine that was nothing but a runny soup. Too much gravy and everything combined. This location went from 50/50 to more like 30/70, where 7 out of 10 times the taste and consistency is jeopardized. I am a big fan of smokes poutinerie but because of the continous bad experience at this location, I am going to avoid it.
Im from Quebec i know alot about poutine i payed for a WOW size and the poutine was dry barely any sauce and cheese .. you must put a fair amount of sauce and cheese for a good poutine without paying extra money.. i think its unfair
I only went because Willies was closed. They want a lot of money for some potatoes. Pulled pork was still cold. Weak
Great and uniquely varied takes on poutine. Nice atmosphere.
One of the worst poutine I ever had in Halifax taste and quality is cheap,in stead of this try Willys poutine which is much better in taste and quality for lesser price

Costco poutine better.
For real though, this place has poutine in the name and you can get better poutines for half the price at Costco. Terrible fries and lacklustre amount of cheese curds. Do better.

Best poutine this side of Québec. Classic, always good, you can make it flashy with other ingredients. Which is nice, but not necessary for the traditionalists who have Québecois blood (like me). The only drawback is that the seating area is small. But I understand it, this is truly a walking food.

The bacon cheeseburger poutine is delicious. The prices are affordable and the service is fast and courteous. I ate it on Halifax Harbour. The atmosphere is just great.
Vegetarian options: There were vegetarian poutine choices.

Our fries were made fresh to order. Small space to eat indoors was a plus. A medium traditional poutine served two of us. Lots of gravy. Plenty of squeaky cheese.
ayush best employee so considerate very helpful kind and caring thank u ayush
On a recent visit to Halifax, this was my first experience with poutine. I actually found it quite tasty. The fries were a bit on the mushy side, but what can you expect after topping them with delicious brown gravy? I did find the gravy absolutely delicious and there was a generous amount of squeaky cheese curds and ultimately topped with bacon. I can feel my left ventricle slamming shut right now!
