Ordered a poutine with pickles. It arrived covered in jalapeños. I called them because I thought they maybe were confused and was told that no, they were out of pickles so for everyone who orders pickles they are putting jalapeños instead. I told them that’s not a good idea as jalapeños are spicy and the employee did not care. I told her the poutine is ruined now since I can’t eat spicy food and she said maybe call back and talk to the manager. Not only is this moronic, but it’s dangerous as people have allergies.

While visiting the Halifax waterfront, I was excited to try my first poutine. I ordered the traditional version, which was served with freshly prepared fries and a generous serving of gravy and cheese curds. However, I must say I was a bit put off by the flavor of rosemary in the gravy. I felt sure that was not authentic, and I looked at the Smoke's website and saw that the rosemary is indeed a special addition of theirs. I don't recommend it, unless you really love, rosemary.

While in Halifax, I had to try a poutine. I went to the location along the harbor, but there are other locations in the city. You get alot of food, I couldn't eat it all. It's worth trying it if you go.

Stopped by the Smoke’s Poutinerie waterfront location in Halifax, NS off of a cruise ship. Quick, friendly service. I got the standard poutine and wife got it with onions. Very good and a generous serving. There are some tables there to accommodate several eateries. There is another seating area over by the water. Wish we could get this food closer to home in Illinois, USA.

The poutine was good but the staff were very loud between the front and the back, they were kicking around containers. My partner and I couldn't even have a conversation. This was a Saturday night between 9-10

The cashier was very polite and efficient, but $13 for a small poutine that is tiny, is crazy and i would not go back. Instead, go to Willies across the street where a large is $15 and will taste so much better.

Took my Mom here as she had never had poutine before. We thoroughly enjoyed a donair poutine which was overflowing with delicious donair meat. We ate at the counter and people-watched as we enjoyed our poutine. The young lady who served us was very nice.
Underwhelming, dry and overpriced; I believe this is the standard and not an anomaly based on multiple visits. They need to change their packaging so it’s easier to mix up, improve the fries, and increase the cheese portion (I honestly didn’t taste it/ remember it) to justify the $17 price point
