Good food store but wish the store would have in place a sign up front for when the water machine is not working

The cashier never said anything but was singing and dancing and doing weird stuff , she never responded to any any our questions, I spent over $270 dollars really bad service considering this is a normal shopping location, the cashier Emma should not be dealing with the public, totally ruined our shopping experience, very disappointed

I’m not one to write reviews, but as someone who actively praises Sobeys in having above average everything and a better overall shopping experience, despite the higher prices, I was really let down today.
Yesterday I had to pick up a pork shoulder for dinner for my family and was in a hurry. When I got home I noticed that there was a massive house fly inside the meat package that had been saran wrapped in with the meat. Absolutely disgusting.
I took it back this morning and the cashier (they no longer have a customer service desk) was as disgusted as me. She called the manager(?) Jenn, over who had probably the most dismissive and do not give a you know what attitude about it I’ve ever seen. She simply said yes, give the refund and walked away…
I’m not sure what I was looking for, but maybe some sort of explanation or apology or general concern for the product they’re selling their customers would have been appreciated. Sobeys please do better when training your Management team, it makes a world of difference and overall customer experience.

Clean and spacious. Helpful staff. A bit in the provider side when compared to the other similar shops but sometimes they have some great offers running. Good choice of meat fish and deli.
So sad to see the fake sales all over the store today. If it’s not a complete fake flyer feature. It’s a clearly overpriced markup put on sale. Just for show. 50% Off for mouldy fruit should be criminal.

I will never shop at Sobeys ever again. I even moved my prescriptions from here. What’s the point when management is helter skelter, and poor customer service to boot. I hate Sobeys.

Was extremely disappointed with a cake that I picked up for July 5th. I ordered a custom made cake for a small event since May, I continued to check in and make sure my simple idea was understood and that the baker knew what I wanted. I sent a thorough email with details, size, AND a photo of what I wanted. That way there would be no room for confusion.
Regardless of these steps I took, and regardless of the fact that I stressed how important it was that if they didn’t understand… I would be fine to find the cake elsewhere….they took the order and did a horrible job.! It was very pathetic looking cake. It was NOT the size I asked for, it was not the shape I asked for, it was NOT the design I asked for. It looked like a 3 year old made it. I picked this cake up the night before the event and needed to go to another place and ask for a replacement and basically threw away the cake. I will NEVER again get a custom cale from here because they almost ruined my whole event by taking on a project they know they couldn’t achieve. If someone makes an order and you know you cannot do it, just say you cannot. There is less harm in that, instead of taking on the project and letting the customer rely on you for their request and then leaving us in a rough spot. Had the other store not made my cake first thing Saturday morning …. I would have been crap outta luck with no cake all because people lack effort and consideration.

This store has beautiful produce, great meat and seafood.
For over a year now it has been a struggle to get service at the meat and seafood bar. I cant understand why no cutters would be working past 4 or 5 pm weekdays especially on a Friday. Or why only one person would be left to manage the counter after 5 pm while also doing all the back area work.
Your other products are so over priced. Sine when is ChefBoyardee 3.50 a can?
