Food was awesome. Had a reso for a group of 6. Service was awful. Spent majority of the visit waiting for drinks. Was there for an hour and 45 min and had 1 drink. We all wanted to order more. Our server didnt even check on us until we were more than ready to leave. Not sure if they were short staffed or what but its a shame because we all love the food and atmosphere.

We have always enjoyed going to Studio East, but this past Wednesday while my partner and I were at the bar there was an experience that hasn’t been sitting well with us.  We found it disruptive and unsettling when a man in casual clothes came in to help with what looked to be a technical issue.  He was loud, red faced and appeared quite drunk which clearly made the staff and other customers uncomfortable.  After fixing the problem he proceeded to go behind the bar and pour himself beer, sit and talk boisterously with a female customer, and then left without any visible transaction with the staff.  The food and service deserve full marks but that scene left us feeling confused and concerned, making the whole experience less enjoyable. Not sure we will be back.

This will be definitely our go-to restaurant for fusion Asian foods. We had Red Thai Curry, and Punjabi Butter chicken, and they tasted intensively delicious. Good music, good atmosphere, good serving, delicious food. We would definitely come back and try other dishes.

Soooo delicious and very accommodating for allergies!!!!! Strongly recommend the chicken karaage. Can’t believe it was gluten free.

WOW, we really cannot say enough about how good our meal here was! We shared the calamari & shrimp appetizer, which was very tasty. Great flavours, batter was light & crispy. For entrees we had the Thai mussels and the pork belly scallop pad thai. Both were unreal delicious and very large portions! The broth for the mussels was the best broth I have ever tasted. And the bread it comes with is flattened bao buns that are fried crisp... so good! The pad thai was incredibly flavourful and beautifully presented! We would highly recommend dining here if you are in Halifax!

What an absolute gem in our beautiful city! The food was unreal, the flavors, the freshness; this restaurant is on an entirely other level. The staff were amazing, so friendly, so prompt and really took great care of us! We will be back for sure!

The food was delicious! We got the calamari and shrimp, and then shared the Braised Beef Bulgogi - one less star because the beef was very tough and hard to eat but overall delicious!

When I come to Nova Scotia from Ontario. I always enjoy come to Studio East. The food is alway delicious full of flavour. Fun funky vib great staff. I alway tell people a must try.

I drove 14 hours from Ontario just to have dinner at Studio East. The food flavour always satisfying. Cool funky atmosphere here. A must stop destination if you love good food and vibe.

Wow the food here is SO flavourful!!! Everything we had was delicious. I definitely recommend you try it out (and get some bao😍)!
