AAAHHH every time I leave studio east i have this bliss feeling… just genuinely happy… I’ve been a couple times and the service is always excellent! The cocktails are STUNNING! (Thank you Keegan for the added spice to the margaritas) and the food is delicious. Bao buns 10/10 ! Fries 10/10! Chicken karaage 10/10! Vibes 10/10! This place is such a gem and always bustling but they have always a manger to find us a seat with minimal wait and that’s amazing! Call ahead if you’re less spontaneous than I!

Loved the Unami burger during the burger bash. The ambiance was cozy. I enjoyed the overall dining experience. However, I don’t think the male server with a British accent liked us for some reason, he was very blunt and hurried us at the end (he just assumed that we didn’t need the receipts). Overall we enjoyed the food. Will I go back? Maybe. Maybe not.

Talk about being the #1 restaurant in Halifax. Unpretentious all around, and the food is out of this world. The halibut had the most delicate curry, the presentation of the pork belly bao was extraordinary, portions were really decent. calamari was crispy. Burger week burger was really tasty too. Not surprisingly they were fully booked, we were right by the super tiny kitchen and were really amazed by how smooth it ran, timing was perfect service was great. All around a super nice evening, we will be back.

Had a very nice meal there over a year ago now and even remember speaking to one of the chef's as we began talking about Singapore and hawker stands.Just had their entry for the burger bash (pandan steam bun, patty, onions, pank crusted mozza,black garlic aioli & spyro slaw). First off, it was amazing. Full of flavour and pretty to look at. There's just one eeeeeeny tiny caveat and it comes with the final ingredient in the burger...The shiitake oxtail sauce. Guys, if you're sending this burger out for delivery/takeout you have got to put some tape on the container. That's just not making it to any destination without popping open. Both our burgers were still delicious just a little sad we had to split half of the sauce container between the both of us.

This little restaurant was 10/10, food was delish, ambiance was nice, service was sublime & friendly. I recommend the cocktail “Champagne Papi” ? You won’t regret it!
This place is a must try! It is by far one of the best restaurants in Halifax. The location itself is a bit rundown but it’s cleaned up well and the atmosphere altogether is amazing. Super casual and low-lit, perfect for a fun and relaxing experience. Overall very enjoyable. Especially the food. Everything I ate was top tier, you can really tell the chefs are very skilled. No appetizer/entree was overshadowed, each dish itself was its own delicious experience. Absolutely phenomenal, I couldn’t have been more pleased or impressed. Even the service was superb, all food and drinks came out quickly but with enough time between everything to actually enjoy your meal. 100% worth your time and money.Dietary restrictions: Many gluten-free options. I find a lot of restaurants don’t have many good celiac friendly options, most of the time the food is mediocre. Yet, here I truly felt the experience and almost half the menu is gluten-free.

Their baos are amazing. The rice bowl is one of my favourite dishes there, but I also enjoy their ramen. Not the cheapest place to eat, but the quality and presentation is very good. The place is always busy, so make a reservation to avoid disappointment.
