Visited some time ago. I wanna say the food is pretty mid, felt like a westernized version of Japanese cuisine. Sushi don’t look good either. I know it’s not just me, they genuinely look pretty bad
Anyway, as a sushi expert I will say there are much more authentic Asian restaurants

Def not real sushi but close enough for Canadian standards. The hugest pieces of sashimi I've ever seen, more is not necessarily better. Everything tastes freshly defrosted. It was an emergency.

I was quite disappointed by the sushi I ordered here. It didn't taste fresh, it didn't taste good, and the sauce to sushi ratio was a mess.
With so many great sushi options in the downtown area, I really recommend looking elsewhere.
I have been to many other Sushi Nami locations in Atlantic Canada, and while I find that the sushi at these locations is usually a step below the best sushi restaurants in the area; it's usually still fresh, delicious, and doesn't leave me disappointed with my choices
The staff were very friendly, and this location has a great atmosphere. But, at the end of the day, what I care about is how good the food is.

We love Japanese food and I have had chicken teriyaki at several of these establishments, throughout Canada without any previous issues. The chicken was dry and not tasty. Part of the vegetables was cold. The rice was OK. The soup and salad tasted like what you would expect in a Japanese restaurant.

I usually have no issues at this place; however, this time I decided to pay in advance because I was worried my phone might die and I wouldn’t be able to pay later. I even left a tip upfront. Unfortunately, after that, no one checked in on me or asked if I needed anything. It felt as though, since the bill was already settled, there was no motivation to provide good service. That experience was disappointing, and I regret leaving a tip. Overall, I would say the service was poor on this occasion.
The food is decent but the service is so bad that it killed the entire experience.

We had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. A mandatory 15% tip was requested from us without prior notice on the menu. When we requested to adjust the tip amount, the staff responded negatively and unprofessionally. This left a very negative impression on our overall experience.
