I was so sad that my meal ended because I ate it all. It was so good.
Great sushi and great service always craving this food
Always a good spot to eat at.
Sushi is delish. Don't understand the mayo on the fancy fusion sushi rolls but that's to everyone's PO personal taste. Service fast, friendly and the food tasted fresh. I'm more of a simple roll girl, if fancy is your jam, this is the spot!!!
We stopped by at 8pm (knowing they close at 9) and ordered some tried and true rolls that we've had at other Sushi Nami locations.
The Gyozas were just warm and super doughy, the tempura was cold and mushy. The rolls seemed like they were made to use up the days leftovers but it made them inedible. We ate the nigiri and left the rest. Super disappointed, and will stick to our other favorite sushi spots.
The food was really good and the service was good as well. Really loved the taste of the food and ambiance of this place.
Hadn’t ordered from the Bedford location in a while but we were very happy with our takeout order. The sushi was fantastic. Great service as always. We’ll return again soon! 5 Stars.
The salmon meat smelled bad. I had diarrhea after eating the food here and went to the hospital for a check-up. It turned out that the food was not fresh and caused enteritis. I need to compensate them and sue them. I strongly request the food hygiene department to punish them. This is the most unpalatable and unhygienic restaurant in the whole of Halifax.

I have always used Sushi Nami as my go to for sushi, mostly because it’s in my neighborhood so it’s convenient. The last several times, I have been very disappointed.
I will not return.
The last three times I went, once in person, two takeout, the fish was not fresh. It smelled bad, and had a slimy texture and grey colour. When dining in person, I sent all the sushi back to be told they use frozen fish that they unthaw, so that’s why there was a smell (I’m sorry there should never be a strong fish smell).
Their non fish rolls, are fine. Veggie is all fresh.
While I mostly order takeout, last time was the last straw. I called to let them know the food was not acceptable, and they did offer a store credit, which I will not use.
There are so many options in Halifax for sushi, I would recommend trying your luck literally anywhere else.

Normally I am the last person to complain but tonight this sushi was the worst we’ve had. For context we’ve eaten at many sushi restaurants.
First and foremost my Philadelphia Roll inside the roll was mainly cucumber and a small amount of cream cheese and a small sliver of salmon on top. But aside from all of that the fish looked and smelled bad (see photos) I ended up not eating the roll.
The spicy tuna and salmon rolls that I ordered had no spicy mayo on it.
My wife’s rolls were bland and very small and the sweet potato roll was under cooked (although I will admit the dynamite roll was a free roll through Skip the dishes)
Finally half the rolls were loosely wrapped and fell apart before we had chance to eat them.
I’m sure a busy Saturday night may be to blame but just unfortunate as we were looking forward to a nice meal.
Food was pretty good, the place is cute. Definitely worth checking out!

This used to be my favourite sushi restaurant. Last visit we ordered Bento boxes and the only thing that tasted good was the steamed rice. Rotten lettuce in soup like salad, chicken looked and tasted old and the spicy tuna had an intense fish flavour. Paid for my bento box after showing server the issues and then emailed and no response from two weeks ago. I will not be back not only because I’m scared of getting food poisoning but customer service is nonexistent.
The service is very good. We ordered the seafood udon in soup and they brought us stir fry. They apologized for making the mistake and make us the soup udon instead. However the long waited udon in soup was very salty. We are so disappointed.

Absolutely fantastic spot for almost fast food Japanese. I go here for lunch on a biweekly basis, minimum. Their bento box lunch specials can’t be beat. Only complaint - the sashimi should be cut smaller. Not much of a complaint tho!
