Sushi Nami Royale lived up to their name, the ramen was fit for a king/queen! The ramen serving was large, tasty broth and loads of flavour. The pork belly in it was mostly fat. Service was ok, we weren't gretted right away. Their sushi menu looked good and the bar appeared be well stocked with sakes and beers. I have grown up in Bayer’s lake location and have always got sushi Nami royale. I have been away for 2 years and when I was back home thought to get some sushi as I always had great experiences. I ordered 200$ worth of sushi and it was very dissappointing. I’m not sure if there is new management or chefs but sushi was not tasty. Rice was just not right and very soggy. Sushi didn’t taste fresh at all. Wasn’t worth it!

It took 30 minutes for us to be waited on after being seated, which would have been fine if it was busy, but it wasn't, there was 3 servers and only 3-4 tables during our meal. Other tables had ordered, eaten, and paid before we were waited on. After we got our food the waitress only offered us water once, after we had finished our meals. It took an additional 30 minutes to receive our bill after finishing eating. Food was alright, but not worth the wait and lack of any service.

Great lunch spot for 1 during a busy day. Food was so fresh and tasty. Miso soup. Salad with a ginger/orange dressing & enough sushi that I had to take some home. Lots of other options as well if sushi isn't your thing. Priced very reasonably.
I absolutely adore Sushi Nami. The service and hospitality are always impecable. The staff are courteous and caring, and the food is fresh and delicious. I have never had a bad experience here, and I will be a customer for life! Highly, highly recommend.Vegetarian options: They have a great selection of vegetarian options from udon noodles to vegetarian rolls. I usually order more from the vegetarian selection!Parking: It's in the complex with the McDonalds/Giant Tiger in Bayers lake, huge parking lot and lots of spaces!

Tuna is very stale and has a strong off/sour smell, use vinegar to cover it upI didn't pay attention when I ordered it, but I was served four slices of butter fish. The scientific name of this thing is escolar. It is used as a lubricant in industry. If people eat too much, it will cause oiliness. Not white tuna at all. In fact, it is not suitable for consumption at all. This resulted in me being able to throw away only half of the platter.The ramen soup was sour and smelled of dishwashing liquid.From beginning to end, I didn’t see soy sauceI had diarrhea on time when I got home. It is recommended not to go to this store. This is not a problem of taste, but a serious food safety problem.

This restaurant has a feature not many others do; to simply google it, bpress 'order', make a selection, select a pickup time, and pay. It took me 3 minutes to order lunch. I found it a bit expensive, but certsinly on par with competitor prices. My 20-piece maki combo rang it at about $22 plus tax, so a little more than $1 per bite.The food was 5 minutes late for my pickup window. This - I forgive. It was peak lunch time so I understand, and they offered a free soda to apologize for the delay. I was treated like I mattered.The food was fresh, generously portioned, and delicious. Definetly made by a professional. I will have to try something different next time I go, and I'll definetly be back sooner than later.The only thing I didn't like was the layout of the restaurant. There are two floors, the main floor had the traditional chefs station for greeting custimers and like 5 tables which were right by the door. The remaining (10?) tables were upstairs. It felt awkward and cramped.It's in a strip mall so lots of parking and is wheelchair accessible.Otherwise, great spot. See you again soon. Probably this weekend, as long as you don't tell my wife I'm doing sushi without her.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options available.Dietary restrictions: Cooked and raw food options. I've only ate in the restaurant once and ordered take out twice. The visit inside was underwhelming, food was okay but nothing special. Lots of other options around Halifax. But the take out was horrible both times, which is why I left a 2-star review. Food smashed together, missing items, wrong items given, extreme amounts of mayo sprayed on everything and then plastic packaging smushed everything together. Total mess. I should have stopped after the first bad take out order but gave them another shot and 2nd one was just as bad. I'd never order take out from here again.
