Absolutely incredible staff! (We miss Kevin the sushi chef tho! Hope he's doing well in Toronto!) They're always amazing there and the food is INCREDIBLE! I tell everyone to go here and I have to go only occasionally because I'd spend my whole paycheck here on the amazing food lol, I bought some to eat at the place and some to go for the next day!! YOU GOTTA EAT HERE!! Tell everyone you know too! This place is such a staple in my life and I love to share it with everyone!

This is not an all you can eat spot. If that is what you are after or all you have ever been too, this is probably not the spot for you. There's no trying something and not liking it then trying not to pay for it, like most of the negative reviews for this place I see. The sushi is amazing. The ramen is my favorite in the city. Gets busy around supper time, so there maybe a bit of a wait. I usually go here on special occasions or once in a while because we like it so much. The staff is super friendly and work as quick as they can.

Tako was delicious, and so affordable! My spicy salmon maki was super fresh and delicious, with big pieces of salmon. We also really enjoyed the veggie ramen and chicken with udon noodles. If we lived in Halifax, we’d be back for sure.

The sushi here were pretty good, but they’re heavily leaning towards westernized style in terms of taste, presentation and marketing. Same with lots of tempura, LOTS of sauce, lots of salad, lots of cream cheese. It was fine, just really not for me as I gravitate towards the more OG Asian cuisine. Just didn’t get the hype around it

So nice to get a lunch that is delicious and a decently price in Clayton Park. My maki roll came with surprise sweet potato tempura! I love food surprises. Rolls were fresh and yummy.
last order was largely inedible, tough cuts of fish, and end pieces of asparagus in tempura which are like rubber, very disappointed as this used to be my fav spot, not so much now

Update 2025 - I hadn't been in a while, maybe over a year. I ordered the same thing I used to order and it was different. The hakiado ramen doesn't have that same deep flavour. And the noodles tasted weird and were chewy, that's definitely different. Friend really enjoyed her sushi though, so it wasn't all bad. I'm just very disappointed my favourite dish there changed.

The ramen here was good, and the price was decent. Will be back for more. It gets really busy at dinner time so if you don't want to wait, it might be wise to head there a bit early, especially on weekends. I've never done pick up, but I see a lot of people Picking up orders so that's an option they offer as well. The staff has been very helpful and polite everytime we have gone. The decor is nice as well, and atmosphere is welcoming. There's often kids in here when I go which is nice to see, so it's family friendly!

Excellent Ramen. Best broth there is in Atlantic Canada. Tokotsu Ramen itself has the best broth personally. Deepest flavour, rich/umami taste.

The veritable gyoza was delicate and delicious. Probably made in-house. Our rolls were tasty and large. The only downside is the decor, it's not bad but not 5 stars either. The flower blossoms that came with our rolls were grown by the owners.
