This place use to be so good! The ramen is still great but the sushi has gone down hill significantly. We ordered ramen today (it was great) and two sushi rolls. The avocado in the rolls was clearly rotten (we had to pick it out) and they served it anyway. It wasn’t even busy in there, they just don’t care apparently. Order your ramen here, but not your sushi.

Tako is definitely a top sushi restaurant in Halifax. We love their chef's fusion rolls. We do find it a bit pricey, but when we want good sushi it's top of our list. Their pickup ordering system used to get very backed up and it has definitely gotten better in the last few months. We've never had a single complaint about the sushi from here and highly recommend.

We just had the most incredible experience here.
Our server, Gian, went above and beyond for my daughter. She made a custom roll to fit her liking as she is quite fussy. She didn’t hesitate to help her create something she would like to eat.
Quality of food was exceptional. The complimentary veg tempura on the side just topped it off.

Absolutely incredible staff! (We miss Kevin the sushi chef tho! Hope he's doing well in Toronto!) They're always amazing there and the food is INCREDIBLE! I tell everyone to go here and I have to go only occasionally because I'd spend my whole paycheck here on the amazing food lol, I bought some to eat at the place and some to go for the next day!! YOU GOTTA EAT HERE!! Tell everyone you know too! This place is such a staple in my life and I love to share it with everyone!
