Talay Thai Restaurant (Halifax)

We came here for dinner during our trip to Halifax and this was one of our favourite meals. The food was fresh, super flavourful, with generous portions and very reasonably priced. The restaurant had nice decor. We also had a nice chat with our waitress, Thúy, who is so sweet and friendly. Highly recommend this amazing restaurant.

Great food and ambience..one observation, I do not know why they fry chicken Satay, which I asked to return and they made it right by exchanging it for another dish…

Great food and service! We had a large group with many different dishes. The speed at which the dishes came out, and the deliciousness of everything was fantastic.
We will be back!

Always want to go there for my comfort meal. They have yummy & affordable lunch sets too. Service is great too.

Did a large delivery order, was received in 20 minutes, well packaged, straight to the hotel room and piping hot. The flavor, portions, and quality were unbeatable (and I’m the picky type) Thank you to all who made our in room feast so enjoyable!

Talay Thai is one of the best spots in town for authentic Thai cuisine. The portion sizes are huge, making it great for sharing or for leftovers the next day.

Their Pad Thai is a must-try – flavorful, perfectly balanced, and cooked to perfection. The curries are rich, aromatic, and packed with depth, just like you’d hope for from a good Thai kitchen.

Great service

I love their chicken pad thai and I feel like the price is reasonable! The serving is huge, I have had it twice and both times had leftovers. Very delicious and I crave it often

I waited 4 minutes just to let them know where I’d be sitting, then another 15 minutes without receiving a menu or even a glass of water. In the end, I left without them even noticing because they were more focused on Uber Eats orders than the actual customers in the restaurant.

I ordered Prawns Garlic on Uber eats, and I was a bit disappointed with the quantity of item I got for the price.
For around $25 I think it was very small quantity, not at all enough for one person. Not happy.

A must visit when downtown Halifax. Authentic food, genuine atmosphere & excellent prices!
