Even morsel of any edible item that I’ve consumed has been absolutely delicious. T&S Hungry Ma’am and Gobbler pies are on the top of our favourites list. Ohhhh and the specialty birthday cakes are like nothing you can imagine until you experience. Everyday treats and great coffee in the cafe are always delicious and served with a smile. Tart & Soul was the only reason I showed up to class as a functional human in grad school (& that’s hardly even a joke). Besides having the BEST fresh baked goods in Halifax, a rotating menu of new tasty lunches cleverly attributed to your favourite 90s cult classic stars, and lattes that taste like a hug - Tart & Soul is the rock of our community. From hosting fundraising events/letter writing campaigns/just being an inviting space, Tart & Soul is what makes Halifax the fabulous community it is. I wish I had more pictures to share but I usually end up inhaling everything I get so enjoy two sandwiches I can never stop thinking about!

Tart and Soul is an incredible cafe run by two of the best people you could know. Their business is a blueprint of what all businesses should strive for. They are community builders and have endless support for other local businesses, employees and patrons. They have set the standard of how to run a business.
It also helps that everything they produce is absolutely incredible. The butter tarts are divine, the famous cinnamon buns are to die for, and their breakfast snacks are *chefs kiss*.

My favourite cafe in Halifax and, hands down, very likely of all time! I spent a lot of days here during my four months living in Halifax. Their food is superb and you can really taste all the effort and love that goes into it as well as into the cafe in general! Plus, everyone who works here was so friendly, knew me by name and they even supported my research project by donating some buckets! Try their weekly special, the squash-apple-cheese sandwich they once had was soooo tasteful and delicious. I miss you!
Place is clean, but breakfast sandwich is $10 and the egg came freezing cold. Server didn’t like when I asked her to heat it up for me, but did so anyways. Came back soggy and there was a hair in it. Wouldn’t recommend

We ordered 4 BEAUTIFUL sheet cakes for an event and we couldn't be happier. Everyone wanted a slice of each flavour and raved about the taste and decoration. We love this business, the owners, and everything they do! Highly recommend for all your cake needs.
