Very tasty food at the best prices! You won’t find this level of flavor for such a good price anywhere else. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and it’s all excellent, but their butter chicken is beyond amazing — truly the best in HRM.

Food was not good. Butter chicken poutine had over fried fries with hardly any cheese and the butter chicken was gross.
The lamb biryani had barely any lamb and was not authentic biryani.
The man who took the payment did not say hello or thank you but stayed on the phone the entire time. Did not say a word.
Would not recommend.

My favourite Indian Restaurant in Halifax! Fresh, balanced, authentic and so, so flavourful. The Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan is amazing. Especially Enjoyed trying the Hakka delicacies. Love that they offer fish and vegetarian options too!

We ordered Palak Paneer and Shahi Paneer, and the experience was very disappointing. The Palak Paneer came with minced spinach in a thick creamy gravy, which tasted nothing like the authentic dish. When we raised our concern, instead of listening, the waitress dismissed us by saying, “That’s how we make it here. Have you tried it before? I can give you some salt if you want.”She eventually canceled the dish, but the poor service left us dissatisfied. If zero stars were possible, we would give that.

Best Nepali Indian food in Halifax. Food is always good no matter what dish I order. My favorites are chicken biryani, lamb curry , tikka masala and their amazing garlic naan. Food also tastes the same regardless if you order fine in or takeout

Held a small private event there and everything was perfectly handled and managed. The owner was overseeing the event personally and ensured that adequate supply of food was present. Not once was I worried about checking food items or drinks. Thanks for letting us enjoy our memorable event. :)

Tawa grill was used to be one of the best Indian food restaurant in HRM, but our last experience was awful, we order chicken tikka masala, it was way too spicy, i always recommend my friends their chicken tikka masala but its flavor isn't same anymore, and their was an event going on in other room with very loud music, we cant even hear each other on our table, wont coming back.

Tawa grill is a great place for a great time. When our family visited Halifax, it was recommended to us by an acquaintance, and we loved it. The service is lightning-fast, and as for the food itself, it caters to a wide variety of spice levels and offers lots of options. The yummy, wholesome food really made my day. Overall, I would definitely recommend Tawa Grill for anyone looking for a place to eat with family or friends.

Had the Kadai Chicken combo at Tawa Grill — came with rice, naan, and channa masala. Flavours were solid, portions were fair, and the price was right at $18. Gulab jamun was on point too. If you’re looking for proper Indian food in Halifax, this spot
