Absolutely stellar. The chowder was amazing and everything else I've had was great. Cocktail special at happy hour was great. Service was great.

Lovely spot, delighted we found this before we flew out of Halifax! Our server was amazing, she really looked after us & you can tell she genuinely cares about the customers (I believe her name is Lisa).

The food was okay. I feel that its very overpriced for the quality of food you get. The ambience and mood of the place was nice even though we were the only ones in there until this other couple showed up. Service was amazing, I would mention the lady's name but i forgot it. All in all its an ok place to eat. Worst part was sitting there after we paid the bill and seeing a huge mouse run across the floor from the kitchen side into one of the booths. How convenient lol

I had the pleasure of meeting a bartender named Sophie I believe who made a killer Margarita. If you see this lady behind the bar I highly recommend trying

My wife and I arrived at the Barrington Hotel from a long flight from afar, exhausted and hungry so we popped into Tempo as it was connected to the hotel. We each shared an appetizer and each got a taco plate. Our bill came out nearly $100, which was a bit shocking for a quick lunch for the 2 of us. First was the unknown "upgrades" to the soup and salad that were included with these dishes. The waitress asked if I wanted a chowder, my wife asked if she could have a side of Ceasar, with ZERO mention that these were going to cost extra. They were literally tiny bowls that came on the plate. Second was the "Service Fee". I didn't understand what this was, and maybe thought this was something common in this city. It was not. We ate at a few other places that did NOT charge this. So whatever this hidden fee was, was implemented only by this restaurant. The lack of communication and this hidden fee was not OK, and are in my opinion out of integrity. Just watch out for these shady tactics if you choose to eat here.

I went here a couple weekends ago, and was served by the bartender, leslie, she was great, very friendly. When I asked what she would recommend, she suggested the tacos and they were very good. I would definitely go back there. Great service and atmosphere!

Despite the restaurant not being very busy, our food was left sitting on the warming line for nearly 30 minutes, resulting in very cold fries, cold chowder, and not very good food. Appetizers were brought to the table with, or after, the main meals. One of our party asked about the meals on the warming line, as we were the only large table not eating, and was told that they were not for us, although those were the meals that were served to us minutes later. We were not asked for drink order before the end of happy hour, so missed that, and one of the party never did get the other drink he ordered. We have eaten here before, and enjoyed the food, but it is doubtful that our party of ten will return after this experience.

The server that took care of me the morning I came for breakfast at Tempo was really friendly and outgoing. I enjoyed the food there and will def come back when I have the chance to!

A good reminder as to why we haven’t been here in several years.Service was mediocre but it was dead when we first arrived and it started picking up only seemed to be two serving staff. We seen on the menu they brought back potachoes and we use to like them so we gave them a try and asked for bacon on the side. What we got was chips, cheese and diced tomato and not layered either. They were missing the green onion were just very disappointing.

I got food poisoning from their “rice bowls”. The cause of food poisoning is literally contaminated food. I hope they get better at making sure the food they serve is clean. I’ve never reviewed a restaurant at all so this is my first time. I have to let people know that they might get food poisoning too. Be careful.

Had a rude waitress at breakfast. Ordered a caesar and was told no because they don't serve booze in the morning. So I asked for a virgin caesar and she audibly sighed. Got the caesar and it was among the worst I've ever had. Tasted like straight up tomato juice. My girlfriend got coffee and they never once came back to the table to refill. Food to 50 minutes to come out. Had to ask another server for water and coffee refill because we hadn't seen our server in ages. Food finally came out and the potatoes were extremely greasy and very hard. Everything else was just plain and bland. Had the breakfast poutine and girlfriend had the small breakfast. 50 minutes.... Won't be back

We are in town for four days and have had poor experiences 2 out of 3 attempts at Tempo. On Friday we had a great experience, the food was tasty, the waitress was great and the service was quick. On Saturday, when I went down for brunch they were closed. After a phone call, I learned that they where closed early due to staffing issues.Today, my wife and I, went down for breakfast. After placing our orders; bagel and cream cheese for her and Eggs Benedict on gluten free toast for me, we received our juice and coffee. Then we waited, and waited. After three or four couples who were seated after us had ordered and gotten their food, we stopped the waitress and asked about our orders. Five minutes later, she walked by and said "It's being taken care of now." She didn't stop to talk to us, and she certainly did not apologize.A few minutes later my wife stopped her a asked to speak to the floor manager. Our waitress replied "I guess that's me". She continued to say that it was taking time to bring the water to a boil to poach the eggs.It was nothing but deflections and avoidance of ownership of the problem. An honest apology would of calmed my wife a great deal.My wife then said she wasn't sure if she to have breakfast any more and the waitress indicated that if we didn't want to stay, it was fine.We chose to leave. In all a very dissatisfactory experience that left my wife in tears back in the hotel room.

The fish tacos were as good as advertised. I had a white sangria especially made with the waitress's recipe, and it was delicious. I highly recommend it. The waitress was very friendly and helpful with suggestions.

We had arrived at the hotel and just wanted to relax and have a nice relaxing meal. The host was great; however, they didn't acknowledge the reservation until after we were seated which makes picking your seat a little waste of time. I'm sure that it was because it was extremely quiet that evening, but still. As for the food, it tasted great; however, my Mac & Cheese was more of a Mac and Cheese Soup. The cheese sauce was extremely runny. If this was supposed to be a béchamel sauce, it would have needed further reduction or added cheese to thicken up the sauce. While this could have been by design, the noodles were left with very little sauce on them.
