I went into this shop hopeful, but it is an unfriendly shop. The counter people give the vibe that they are doing you a favour in tolerating you. I owned my own business for 40 years and training customer service as a side project and these attitudes are always reflective of the management, as management would not tolerate these behaviours or staff would not think they could get away with it otherwise. Sad as it's a great location and concept.

Never felt less wanted as a customer. Wow. What an unfriendly place. Hardly anyone there and the server still didn’t welcome me. Begrudgingly took my order and had to ask for the toast that comes with it (big sigh when I did). Paid $12 for a tiny soups with little flavor and just had bunches of rice in it. Never to return.

The 5K Cafe is one of my favorite brunch spots for there sandwiches and chips &salsa on the side. I also love the added pickle slice. The service has never not been friendly and I always have a pleasant experience when I eat in and/or take out. I also love there varieties of sweets they have and that they have local products to view as well. Recommend when you have time to grab a bite!

Food and drinks are delicious but the menu on their website rarely reflects the products they actually have available in-store. This is very frustrating when I give my order to my coworker to pick up and we have to call back and forth to figure out an alternative. Additionally, they have very few vegetarian options.

Such a local gem! Stopped here on the way to Peggy’s cove, and had an amazing lunch. Chai latte was solid and so was the London fog. The pickle and chips that came with the sandwiches were a nice touch :)

Overall this cafe is beauty and peaceful. The area around the cafe is also peaceful, I went there in little rain and it was amazing😌.
My second visit was horrible, they have given me burnt Mocha.

We wanted to check out a new coffee place this weekend and so glad we came here! My iced latte was 🤌🏼 and husband thought his iced americano was great too. We got a couple sandwiches. They were delishhh. I got the dill one and he got the Italian.... sooo good. Only wish we had more salsa for our chips. But definitely we will be back!!!
