Service was incredible, I ordered something I normally don't get and it wasn't as good as the steak but it was still very good. The staff was great and I was a nice place to go for our anniversary

Wonderful evening for our family gathering! Veronica was excellent with table service, prompt, efficient, smiling and a good sense of humor. The meal was (as anticipated) excellent! The Barrington Team was also very helpful with a late request for fresh cut bouquets (3) for our table, very much appreciated! We'll definitely be back!

Our server Gaitin was excellent. It was obvious they were understaffed as meals took much longer than expected to be delivered.

First time and it was great. Steak was perfect and chicken was so tender and delicious. Wonderful anniversary dinner!

The lamb was excellent, the atmosphere by the fire as well - and most of all our server whose name I believe was Durissa or Jurissa! Lovely lady and made our night :)

The food and cocktails were both wonderful. Our server Derrissa was phenomenal! Great date night atmosphere. We will be back!

The quality of the steak is beyond compare as always. Ambience with the live jazz was incredible. Worth the experience.

Overall an excellent experience. From great service to amazing food, we celebrated an anniversary; we were not disappointed with our choice. The ability to add flowers from a local florist at the time of booking was a great, and we were met with a handwritten card and welcome drinks. The Cigar Tenderloin was cooked perfectly; the best steak in the city. I would highly recommend!

We had several hours to explore Halifax, once we disembarked from our cruise ship. My husband was craving some oysters and I found the Barrington listed as having some of the best oysters in town. We were able to get a reservation and the experience could not have been more enjoyable.! From the greeting to the very attentive service provided by Ben, along with the spectacular oysters and mussels that I had, everything was top-notch. Ben suggested an assortment of oysters and I had read about a regional white wine and he agreed that would be a good accompaniment. My only regret is that it's kind of a long drive from Florida to get back to this wonderful restaurant! Thank you again, Ben, for a memorable meal!

Food was amazing the place and ambience is exactly what you are looking for. Ben the Bar manager standing in for the other two managers was great and so professional. He made us feel welcome and the attention to detail with making sure our service was up to par. I will definitely visit again from the UK.

One of the best suppers I’ve ever had. The steak was cooked to perfection, the creamed corn with chilly crisp UNREAL, bone marrow potatoes out of this world. If you’re looking for a special treat I HIGHLY recommend visiting you will NOT be disappointed ❤️❤️

A very pleasant and cozy experience.
We had just arrived from Europe and headed straight from the hotel to the Barrington. I was really craving a good steak.
The bartender noticed us right away and gave us a warm welcome – the staff is very well-trained and extremely friendly. The food selection is good, we really liked the concept, and the drinks menu is excellent as well. The prices are a bit on the high side, but the quality of the food is truly first-class. The only drawback was the long wait, but in return we got an extra oyster for free. Definitely worth a visit – the atmosphere is fantastic too.
