Went for birthday dinner and loved ambience of the restaurant with waterfront view. The jumbo shrimp dish with cream sauce(Appetizer) was delicious. We also enjoyed the Linguine all’Aragosta, Chicken Saltimbocca, and Alfredo pasta. Complimentary pistachio ice cream was a nice touch. Friendly staff and perfect for a special occasion. A bit pricey but worth it.

There is a lot of hype for Bicycle Thief, understandably as the restaurant is really good, solid food. Outstanding, personally I don't think it is. It's a cross between Italian and seafood, which is a fantastic marriage, but having had both elsewhere, which was outstanding, I can only provide my view and this doesn't live up to it. The service is amazing and the atmosphere great, the view and location stellar, however the food is OK.

Mediocare food at best. Red ravioli was undercooked as the corners were hard. Carpaccio was a joke too. Had to sit at the bar and the waiter/bartender did not allow me to have a private conversation with my girlfriend without stepping in. Gave us desert menus too after we asked for the bill. Additionally the bartender somehow messed up both our drinks then proceeded to say he was trying to do an experiment and then had to remake them. Very odd experience and I would never return if in Halifax again.

Bicycle Thief never disappoints! 7 of of us enjoyed wonderful meals Sunday including Dine Around as we celebrated a retirement. The welcoming atmosphere, friendliness & attentiveness from all staff enhanced the entire evening. Good pacing was perfect & we never felt rushed. All meals, cocktails & other libations were accompanied by moans of pleasure. Kudos to all involved Special thanks to our amazing waitress Taij who was funny, friendly, incredibly efficient & bent over backwards to ensure we had a perfect evening.
