Celebrated my wife’s birthday at The Thief on December 7th. Fantastic. Started off with a lovely and lively crackle g cold bottle of Pierre Gimmonet. Next were the mains. My wife had the short rib, slow cooked to perfection. I had the saffron risotto with the seared scallops. It could not have been better. Steve, Carlo, and Rob served in manners which were welcoming, friendly, efficient, and good humoured.
Hats off to Hakan for providing another lovely outside dining experience.

Food was killer! Fresh and delicious. Cocktails are great! It is a very pricey spot. I will say though, it is an incredibly popular spot and it's very intimate so prepared for it to be loud, especially if you have any kind of sensory issues.

Food - average. Ordered the calamari and crab ravioli. The ravioli was too creamy and too buttery that it totally covers the nature taste of the crab. Not impressed at all.
Service- I went in the restaurant at around 4pm. The restaurant was mostly empty but the lady still brought me to the table in the corner with the worst view. I don’t want to speculate that it’s to do with racism but shortly afterward a white man walked in and he was told he could sit wherever he prefers. The different treatments are truly astonishing.
Needless to say I won’t come back.

Upon entering this beautiful restaurant, we quickly realized it was going to be a dining experience. We had a bit of a wait for our table even with a reservation, but we'll worth it when we were seated next to a warm fireplace that was head level. I thought maybe we would be too warm, but it was subtle and just added to the dining experience. Our waitress Morgan was soulfully cheery and engaged with our daughter, directly asking to make she also contributed to the choices of our night. She was another level of star deserved for this charming, warm restaurant. We were already having a 5 star experience before we tasted anything. The soft bread, with roasted red pepper Hummus, oysters and tuna tartare were delectable. Our cocktails were perfectly done and the server came after every serving to make sure the quality was top notch. The dinner was another level of deliciousness with the lobster risotto special, pistachio salmon, and crab ravioli. As if we weren't stuffed enough, Morgan managed to sell us on a scoop of pistachio Gelato which came directly from heaven. Way to go Bicycle Thief, on every level you exceeded expectations! If I could give you 10 stars I would!

I came here because of the high reviews, and I’d say it was worth a try. The food was pretty good, and the service was decent as well.
The fried calamari was very fresh and crispy. Our neighboring table highly recommended the crab ravioli, and it truly lived up to the hype! The ravioli was packed with fresh crab meat, and the sauce had a slightly tangy taste but was perfectly balanced and delicious.
However, the lobster roll, which many people recommended, was just average. It’s worth trying if you’ve never had one before, but I prefer the ones I’ve had in Maine. The mayo sauce overpowered the natural freshness of the lobster meat, and the roll itself and the fries were just ordinary.

I went to this restaurant for the first time even though I have visited Halifax many times due to the nature of my work. Me and a couple of my coworkers finally managed to get a reservation at this restaurant as it is always really difficult to find a spot last minute if you are not from Halifax.
We were all really glad that we tried this restaurant. The food was immensely delicious and the service was fantastic. The drinks were good. The ambiance of the restaurant is also lovely.

We came to dine with my friend on the hot day of August. They treated us as a Royalty. I had a little puppy, who was immediately given water and a delicious shredded chicken. The food was nicely cooked and served on time with sweet comments. What really made the experience regal is an umbrella held by the beautiful soul over our table, when sun became too intense. Thank you very much for your service.

The food is absolutely exceptional. The octopus was perfectly cooked—tender, flavorful, and a delight to eat. The spaghetti with lobster was another highlight, bursting with fresh flavors and cooked to perfection. The salmon was also outstanding, beautifully prepared and seasoned just right.
To finish the meal, the multi-layered cake was a showstopper, making it the perfect sweet ending to a memorable meal.
The combination of delicious food, great ambiance, and the unbeatable view makes this restaurant a place worth revisiting. Highly recommended!
