Got a few things I haven't tried in a while. Steak tartare is more or less like many places, mild flavour, doesn't stand out. Scallops were cooked perfectly. Has a sweet fruity butter sauce. But sweet for me, but I think most people will like it. Duck confit risotto was the best one for me. Fall off the bone duck mixes into perfectly cooked risotto with a strong red wine flavor. Plus good portion size. Bonus that they serve non-alcoholic beer!

My first time in Halifax. Here on business and to see my adult child. I’d heard so many great things about this restaurant. So, approximately a month ago, I made a reservation for 2. We were so excited to go for dinner. Service…excellent. Food…very good (though my son ordered his steak rare and received it medium rare…he said it was fantastic just not exactly how he likes his steak cooked). Atmosphere…nice. We had appetizers, mains, a bottle of wine and dessert. Unfortunately, despite booking well in advance, we were seated by the hustle and bustle of the wait station. When we left, I casually mentioned to the hostess that I was somewhat disappointed by our seating. She was kind …but insisted on sending me to her manager, who was very polite. However, he then insisted on sending me to his boss. Unfortunately, I did not find the next level person to be overly interested in hearing my comment; he was somewhat dismissive. He pointed out to me that as I could see it is quite busy (ie popular) and it was unfortunate I did not like our seating. One of the reasons I did not mention it when we arrived is because I knew it was busy and changing seats was likely not an option. Overall, despite the seating we were given, we had a great visit and dinner. I’d recommend it for the food, service and atmosphere. However, I did not appreciate the dismissiveness of the boss when I was sent to him about my minor comment about our seating.

Decent pricing and food was above average. They brought out all the food together so my pasta was a bit cold. Lobster roll wasn’t the greatest, but restaurant is at an ideal location. Good for a one time visit if you’re in the area.

It was a bit cold but the cheese cake desert and our attentive waiter made up for that.The waiter also got my friend’s order mixed up but we all make mistakes. They fixed it by bringing the right order and packing up the wrong one for us to take home. So, it all ended we. Haha

My mother and I had the best dining experience here! The atmosphere of the restaurant is beautiful and we were so happy with the food and cocktails. Great portions and everything tasted amazing. Out waiter was excellent as well and had the best vibe. We will definitely be coming here when we visit Halifax again! 10/10 definitely reccomend!
