Usually love this place. Fries are always amazing but the feature buttermilk chicken sandwich was lacking. Only one strip of chicken on the bun (didn’t fill half the bun) and fixings on the burger were non existent. Stick with fish and chips or the meat pie.
Honestly, I love the brown hound. I don’t think I’ve had one bad experience. Although, the last time I was in, I ordered my usual (bangers and mash), and the sausage came out sliced and diced all up the side. I don’t know why, but the appearance made me nauseous. It looked aquatic — almost octopus like? Think: a cooked spider-dog over a campfire. It was an experience I wasn’t prepared for. Please go back to plain bangers, please! It was genuinely a nightmare. Went on a Wed afternoon around 1pm; wasn't super busy and I was happy to have the pick of a few seating options. Overall though, it was a disappointing experience for me. Was really hoping this could be my go-to in the neighbourhood, but unfortunately I'm hesitant to go again. Points about the review:
