We were staying at the Atlantica hotel for the Easter weekend and tried out The Cannery. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of the food for lunch given its rather low 3.8 rating on Google. We had the seafood chowder which was excellent and very filling. A cup portion was already quite large, so we’re glad we didn’t order the bowl because the fish and chips were huge! It was freshly made haddock with a nice batter and the fries were very tasty and pleasantly spiced. Chris our server was very attentive to our needs and informative about the area. One evening we had room service for a snack. The spinach and artichoke dip was great. It was served with fried pitas which was a nice touch since it had a Mediterranean taste. We also had the Easter Brunch Buffet which was very impressive for selection and quality. Our server, Lisa was very pleasant.Overall, we were very impressed with The Cannery and think it deserves a better rating!

While the scenery is undeniably impressive, the recent changes to the menu have left much to be desired. I loved their Avacado Croissant and Fish Tacos which are no longer on the menu.Despite this setback, there are still glimpses of brilliance to be found on the menu.

Bald server at the front was very rude. I asked for menu and asked if we could take to the hotel. He literally grabbed menu from hand. Never ever i wanna get served from such a stupid and rude server.

Had a coffee and a snack with an awesome view. Easy access from the street. Recommended.

I ordered the Cannery pizza. It was very bland. They didn’t have chilli oil or fresh ground pepper to spice it up. Friends that I was with ordered burgers. In spite of all the toppings, they also found the burgers tasteless.Other friends ordered steak bites and chicken penne, which they enjoyed. The food came out very slowly, but the servers were good.

The Cannery is beautifully designed, with a few overlooking The Commons. We started with Nachos and Wings. The wings were good, but the nachos were purely visual; the taste was about as bad as I’ve ever had.In terms of mains, the Scallop and Shrimp Risotto had too much Parmesan, making an already heavy dish nearly unbearable by the end of it. You would definitely need wine to cut through all the fat if you’re going to order this dish.Next up is the NY Strip; overall, it's not bad, but much like the scallops prior, the steak was slightly overcooked.Fish & Chips a timeless classic. Unfortunately, while the fish wasn’t bad, the chips (fries) were far too salty. Finally, the Thai Curry with Sesame Crusted Salmon. The salmon was good, but the sticky rice that came with it was so bad that it insulted Asian culture. The one saving grace was the servers, who were quick and polite.I would typically say that I’d give this place a second chance. However, this was my second visit, and I doubt I’ll be back for a third.

Typical menu with the same old stuff, but theirs is misleading in my opinion. I ordered “Whipped Feta Bruschetta”, but the whipped feta is a thin spread under the marinated tomatoes and you literally cannot taste it. The “artisan margarita pizza” was also disappointing; pre made regular crust with globs of pesto (advertised as “basil oil”) and skimpy on cheese. The food was hot and fresh- just disappointing and not what I expected based on reading the menu. Small improvements would go a long way here.

Fabulous place. It’s only recently opened and is in a great location being on the corner of the building which has huge window views towards the harbour. The service here was great and also the food. Very well presented and tasty.

Such a shame that they’re wasting this space. No effort put in by management to ensure quality products, and quality training of quality staff. Ambiance is awful for a dinner crowd. Lights are way too bright. The whole thing makes me feel as though I’m at a school cafeteria with fancy light fixtures and nothing more. This spot has incredible views and yet they have clearly 0 interest in trying to elevate what they offer - very mediocre food and service - to try and tap into the amazing location that have and to generate interest in their restaurant.Such a shame.

Honestly, such a disappointing establishment. The service was extremely slow for a well staffed restaurant, with very little customers. We placed our orders, 10 minutes later our waitress came back to ask if we’ve had our orders taken (meanwhile we placed them with the same person who’s asking us this). Once placed the food arrived in a timely manner. But, the quality of food was so low it was awful. The Cannery burger was extremely dry and burnt, with little to no sauce. The tartar sauce served with the fish and chips was so watered down it was soup. The fish was low quality, and wasn’t worth it.Overall experience was so low, I will not be giving it a third chance. For the space and location, it’s a waste that it’s being used in such capacity as it is right now.

Have been a couple times before ...everything was fine, place never seems busy. This time service was slow, over an hour and we had not ordered ...finally we left, unfortunate, would like to call it my new favorite, but nit like this.
