Best dive bar in Halifax! Fun atmosphere with great specials almost every night of the week. Karaoke in the back to add to your fun evening out. Go in! You might just get hooked! ?

Do not be misled by the basic decor. It may lack a little in outward charm but it makes up for it in very good food and service and a nice array of craft beers! The burgers and nachos are particularly tasty. It's a great place to stop after a walk through the public gardens or after an evening show at the movie theater.

This place has really gone down hill the last 6 months...the music they play is intolerable. And its impossible to get the (new) bartenders attention for another drink.
Food was delicious, and the beer was great. First server was fast, and friendly. Immediately upon shift turnover we were ignored by the new server. I'd say we were missed, but he looked at us several times and never made a move to the table so I am left assuming it was intentional.

10/10 service. Me and a couple friends came here one night and had a problem with some quite intoxicated people bothering us, the staff made sure we were safe and took great care of us after the issue. It wasn't my first time there and definitely won't be my last, the fickle frog is a hidden gem on spring garden, they always have great specials and fast friendly service.

The website said joke night started at 8. Showed up at 730 and made it until 820 with no jokes in sight so I left. When leaving I saw the sign outside and it Said joke start at 830. "Ok" I think "I'll go inside and wait then." Still no jokes by 930. Got pissed off and left. Worth noting I did not ask about the jokes once. Would not go back unless joke man was guaranteed. On another note drinks were fine and bathroom door handle sticky. S*** bar.

Kind of a hidden little place on spring garden road. Seems like the type of place to go to if your looking for cheap drinks or vlts. Food was decent, very well priced for the portions. Bartender was really friendly, on top of refills of water, quick with service/food. Only thing I didn't like was the chicken fingers. They tasted processed. And the scratched up tables/graffiti in the bathroom but they could be the look they're going for. Everything else was good tho.
