The Five Fishermen is a stunning restaurant set in a beautiful historic building with a rich and intriguing past. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting — with even a couple of ghost stories adding to the charm. The seafood was incredibly fresh and perfectly prepared. Every detail, from the food to the service, was absolute perfection. A must-visit experience!

The Five Fish Experience was delicious with fresh ingredients. Excellence service and very informative about the building history.

Very nice restaurant, excellent food and our server was top notch. Couldn't help but notice that there was no table water and none of the tables around had water either...seems like a management choice...which is odd.

Went for mine and my partners anniversary and we had the best time! Food was phenomenal, service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was perfect. We will definitely be returning back!

Our favorite restaurant of our 6 day stay in Halifax...(visiting from the US). We were celebrating our birthdays (both in October), and our waitress, Laura, made certain that we enjoyed our time. Now, my wife can't get enough of the tuna tartar - which she never had, previously. Only suggestion I may make, is... parking is very difficult, although we were told we could park in the parking at the adjacent Prince George Hotel, we didn't understand we had to pull into a parking garage (underground) specifically for those staying at the PGH. Consequently, I had to drop my wife off, and find a parking garage 5 blocks away. Still, an awesome venue, great food, service, and ambiance.

We are a group of co-workers in town for a convention. Chose your restaurant due to online reviews, and you did not disappoint! The food was marvellous & Erin provided us with excellent service. Highly recommend eating here!

The food was not as good as we expected. The crackers with our tartar were stale and or not cooked properly. The lobster mac and cheese was so so for $46, 5/10. I expected more. It took a long time to get drinks. I would not go back with so many other fine dining options in Halifax that we had better meals at.

Food was wonderful. Server was not. Was not told specials or offered water. Seemed like we were an inconvenience to be there.

Jane was the best server EVER. The trouble with the evening was that the lobster was okay, not great. And the noise from next door was earth-shattering.

Delightful evening, excellent service, and the food was very good. My husband loved his chicken. I had the duck and it was good but the middle was raw. Fortunately I was full by then. Great cocktails and good wine choices.

Scallops were a little over cooked not soft inside, lobster also overcooked and felt stiff and chewy, mash potato was blend, the 5 Fishermen plate n crab cake was good, raw oysters were mini sized like a clam :-(

A delicious dining experience, creative cocktails and a menu with just enough variety. The ambiance is upscale but not stuffy... well worth it!
