A delicious dining experience, creative cocktails and a menu with just enough variety. The ambiance is upscale but not stuffy... well worth it!

We went here to celebrate a birthday. The diner was fantastic. The food was really refined, great in taste. They have a nice selection of drinks to accompany the food. Staff was super friendly and genuine. Price is a bit on the higher side but fully worth it. We had a great evening.

Very odd experience. Pastries are very good. Drinks are good. Service is decent. Quality of seafood is there. The execution of cooking seems to let down the experience

Food and presentation were good. Unfortunately the cold air blowing directly on us made it very uncomfortable. Server acknowledged we wanted time to enjoy our cocktail and yet, 10 minutes later our food arrived! The mgr who brought our plates said he didnt get that info from the server. Not sure they could make our dinner in that short of time so perhaps we got someone else's. Others we spoke to in our tour group said they waited an hour to get their food. For the price, service should be much better and not rushed.

There were 2 of us. We spent $100/pp and had 2 glasses of wine, 1 draft beer, heirloom tomato salad, side size lobster Mac & cheese, the 14 ounce ribeye meal with 3 added scallops and dessert was on the house
The heirloom and burrata salad was 9/10, lobster Mac & Cheese was 6/10 (dry noodles, weird nutmeg taste), ribeye steak was ordered medium rare and came out medium so we sent it back and they did a new one. Second plate came out and the steak was worse than the first. We came to find out from our server that the steak is prepared sous vide and then put on the grill
This type of preparation should be shared on the menu. We wouldn’t have ordered it as we do not like steak prepared in this manner
“Sous vide is where food is placed in a sealed bag and cooked at a precise controlled water bath at a low temperature for an extended period of time”
Scallops were 10/10. Too bad there were only 3
No bread to start at dinner but we were served amuse bouche which was a nice tiny cone filled with avocado and fresh seafood 10/10
Dessert was peanut butter ganache and strawberry gelee filled with mascarpone and it was on the house from the manager
Our bill was $240 with tax and tip
Will we visit again? No. There are too many other fabulous eateries to try in Halifax, Dartmouth and the province of Nova Scotia to go again

This was the best meal of our recent trip to Halifax.
Service was friendly yet refined. Our excellent server, Laura, welcomed us to the city with complimentary sparkling wine and a delicious mocktail for our daughter. She also surprised us with extra small bites alongside dessert, and we truly felt like VIPs. Our daughter, a picky eater, declared her burger (customized to her very specific preferences) one of the best she has ever had, and she rated the entire meal “five stars.” My partner thoroughly enjoyed his sablefish, and the Digby scallops I ordered were fresh, sweet, perfectly seared, and among the best I have ever tasted.
The setting was simple and modern, with a lovely ambiance, well-spaced tables, and a comfortable volume for conversation. We cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

Very delicious seafood restaurant in Halifax. Personally had the beef and bone marrow tartare, lobster risotto side, and frutti di mare with squid ink pasta, all of which were all fantastic. The plum tomatoes in some of these dishes explode in your mouth like flavor bombs, usually grape tomatoes are lifeless but not these. Again, all dishes were fantastic.
Have to call out great service by Vanya, helped my father make a decision about steak, which turned out to be the correct one, but she was also an expert on the menu. Vanya deserves a raise and big tips if you get her. If other servers are as good as she is, this place trains their staff impeccably.
Very cute restaurant overall with great rustic decor combined with what you get from most seafood restaurants.
Would absolutely return the next time I'm in Halifax.

Amazing seafood and great atmosphere. I had a great chowder and perfectly cooked salmon dish with mustard greens. Upstairs is a bit more fancy and downstairs is a bit more relaxed. 10/10 will go back.
They also have a good selection of local beer.
