Went here with my partner to celebrate our first anniversary and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! My partner and I are hard of hearing and they were very considerate in taking that into account when seating us. Our server Laura treated us like royalty and made it a night to remember. Absolutely fantastic. Laura was wonderful, accommodating with our asks. Service was top notch. I would highly recommend this restaurant and if I'm ever back to Halifax I will return for a great meal. We had the seafood risotto.

The food tasted like heaven. So unique, beautifully prepared, and incredibly pleasant. We were especially impressed by Laura, who served us with such care and professionalism. They accommodated our group so nicely and even worked around the menu to make sure everyone was happy. We truly loved our dinner here during our business trip. Highly recommended!
This was our 1st time trying The 5 Fishermen. The restaurant atmosphere and staff were top notch. If it wasn't for the outstanding service by Laura, this would have been a lower review because the food was just OK. Whenever I try a new restaurant I always have the seafood chowder and Oysters Rockefeller if offered and so I had both. My wife had the Lobster meal. The chowder was a very small portion with hardly any seafood in the cream. Even though it tasted fine, I was very disappointed with the chowder. The Oysters Rockefeller were good but I've had much better at other establishments in Halifax. My wife's lobster was tasty but a bit mushy for some reason. We try to do fine dining two or three times a year but we will probably not frequent The 5 Fishermen again after this visit. I just found that for the price there are far better options in our area to eat.

Went the 5 fisherman and it was delicious. She had the 5 fish plate and I had the beef rib. Both were amazing. The service from Carly our waitress was super as well.

I’m from out of town and I went to the restaurant with my dad and his friend before the curling trials yesterday. I order the filet mignon and the lobster mac and cheese with a mocktail to drink. The food was outstanding! It was so good. The service was fantastic! Always friendly and ready to serve. The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming. It was great over all.

We try to come to Five Fishermen every couple of months and they never disappoint. Today the crab cakes were extra special. They were pretty much entirely crab. There was actually a new twist on a few things.
And I don’t know how we do it but every time we go we get Laura for our server and it’s just as if you have dropped by your best friend’s place for dinner. She brings new meaning to “over and above”.

I would give this place 10 stars! Laura, you were amazing. I know fresh seafood, and this is the only restaurant in Canada where I’ve had truly fresh seafood. The service was exceptional; you felt like a VIP guest. I loved the history of the building, and the atmosphere by the window was comfortable and lovely. Thank you for my beautiful 🌹 I highly recommend it!
