We recently ordered the Buffalo Chicken Burger, Chicken Alfredo, and Fish & Chips, and unfortunately our experience was disappointing. The Buffalo Chicken Burger appeared and tasted quite underwhelming. The bun seemed to be of very low quality and was unusually small, making the overall portion feel inadequate, especially at a price of $21.
The Fish & Chips were also concerning, as the fish was undercooked on the inside and the batter was soggy and not fully cooked, resulting in an unpleasant texture. The Chicken Alfredo was the better dish among the three….however, it contained very minimal chicken, only a few small pieces throughout, making the portion feel incomplete.
Overall, we were dissatisfied with both the portion sizes and the quality of the dishes. We left feeling that the visit did not justify the cost and unfortunately regret the experience

I rented this space for a private party and the service, attention, quality , etc exceeded my expectations. I worked closely with the owner, Dinesh and he was highly responsive, flexible and kind. I had lots of questions and requests and he was always very pleasant to work with. My event went very well - my guests commented on the quality of the food and service. All the staff were highly professional . All in all I had a wonderful experience and my guests were well taken care of.

We held a family reunion for ~60 people including bringing in a ceilidh band and dance caller. The manager and staff were superb. They were professional, polite, flexible and always tried their best to make our event a success - and it was!
We worked with the staff to reconfigure the room for the sit-down meal and then when the band was ready, we moved tables and the carpets to create a big dance floor. The staff were super helpful throughout. People ordered many different menu items and the kitchen got everything out on time and tasting good! I heard no complaints and many compliments.
The space and decor are visually interesting and inviting and fit our group size perfectly. People could go to different areas or sit near the bar yet still feel connected to the whole group. The kids love the swing seats and made that their headquarters. The staff helped with the setup for the band of the restaurant's Bose sound system which we also used later with our devices to play our own music. Everything worked great!
The staff were happy to let us continue celebrating late into the night and continued serving us with the same wonderful attentiveness. They deserve a lot of credit. All-in-all a superb experience and I would not hesitate to recommend the Garden Retreat for a similar event.

Worst experience ever.
I chose this restaurant for my 16th birthday and have booked a table for my family in advance. Everything seemed to be fine and I even received a message-reminder about the time I should come. But when I arrived, there was a private striptease party. After talking to the manager, he said my table was still valid and I can sit at the back. As a sensitive underage, I could not stand the loud noises and drunk people, so I have left the place and found another restaurant to spend my time at, which was a great choice.
The negligence of this place is off the charts, I advise you to find another place that is worth your time and money.
Big reservation issue. My gorgeous sister Mariia picked this spot for her birthday celebration 2 weeks in advance. She was so excited to go to this specific spot because she liked the decor and the food looked promising. I booked a table for us through Resy, got a confirmation and even received a 30 min reminder. However when we got there on Saturday night, all pumped and glammed up, turned out the spot was closed for a private drag show. I asked the manager about our reservation and he just replied “you can sit outside for just food and no show”. We left. And the next day I receive an email saying “rate your experience dining at this spot”, well it never happened. There was no communication and somehow our reservation still went through. Anyways we went to Sea Smoke and had a blast 💋😌💅

The star of our experience today was our server who was the lone front of house worker for the entire place during brunch. I dont know how he did it but he somehow made everything run on time in there. Deserves a raise for sure.
We had the chicken and waffles, and the retreat classic breakfast. The food itself was solid but nothing to really write home about. Decent mix of breakfast classics and more interesting stuff.
