For your own safety, avoid this place at all costs.I ordered the chicken kebab and ate four pieces of it before I noticed that the inside was completely raw, I then had a terrible case of food poisoning the next day. Our waitress was great, apologetic, and offered to comp the entire bill. The chef made no effort to come out and apologize for the situation face-to-face and my partner unfortunately heard him joking about the situation in the back with other staff members when they went to the bathroom before leaving. While it’s understandable mistakes happen - not owning the mistake and the chef not even bothering to come acknowledge their mistake, or remake the dish was extremely disappointing.Would absolutely not recommend.

Beautiful spot with wonderful food. We look forward to returning again.Update: I finally returned, and my experience was the complete opposite. The service was good and the meals came out as quick as I would expect for a larger party, but that was it for the positives. I ordered the vegan huevos rancheros, and added an egg and it was the most disappointing dish I've had at a restaurant recently. The tofu wasn't seasoned, the 'flame grilled corn' tasted like it was just defrosted, the guacamole tasted like the stuff you get at superstore, the eggs were overcooked, and the potatoes were undercooked. It was also missing the roasted red pepper and the scallions. How does this even resemble huevos rancheros? No black beans, no salsa/pico/tomatoes based sauce, no tortillas, no hot sauce. It was just a weird dish. The others around me also complained of their dishes, specifically the avocado toast which seemed to be served on Dempster-style bread, not the sourdough the menu stated.I also ordered a coffee, which was great, but the milk on the side was served in a small cup that was also clearly used for espresso shots. At first I didn't think anything of it, and assumed it was stained, but after a moment my milk turned brown. I wiped the edge and my finger easily removed the coffee residue. It was clearly just dirty and hadn't been cleaned between uses.In the end the server exchanged the meal for a croissant, which was great, but after talking this place up all week I was really, really disappointed.

The coffee wasn’t great. The coffee cup was not clean. Not sure why they bothered asking me how I wanted my eggs cooked. I wanted over easy, they came out well done. The bacon was not fresh and had been previously cooked. We had a gift card that they refused to honour because the restaurant had changed ownership. Bad experience. Won’t ever go back.

I was with a large group for dinner. We had booked the Shiraz room for 20 people.I want to preface this by saying our server was lovely and never stopped moving. They must have been very busy as we only had 1 server for 17-18 of us.The service was just extremely slow because our server was serving by themselves. Other service staff helped with some of the food drop-off but nothing else (no taking orders, no clearing dishes). The manager popped his head in several times but didn't seem to be helping our server. Also, the way the food came out was insane. They brought out 1-2 dishes at a time and some people in our party were getting their mains before some had appetizers. It is a gorgeous restaurant and the drinks were good. The food was only okay.It was a little insulting that we not only were charged $150 to book the Shiraz room but there was an automatic 18% added to our bills for being a large party. If the service was better I would have been absolutely fine with the 18% gratuity being added to out bill. But, the service was overall, not good.

Great place but wanted to share why I only gave 2 stars. I witnessed a staff member being disciplined by their manager. It was quite harsh feedback to give to a service person at the beginning of their shift. Also there was so many mouse droppings behind the curtains, it was a real stomach turner. That said, loved the food & atmosphere (when not thinking about mice and unhappy wait staff.)Definitely a bummer.

Four of us took our friend out for Birthday Brunch. Three ordered avocado toast and the other 2 Huevos Rancherous. The Avocado was brown and slimy on all 5 dishes and it was served to us on a piece of WW toast (not sourdough bread) that I am not sure was even toasted. The Huevos Rancherous was basically a breakfast sandwich on an english muffin with with the same brown slimy Avo and maybe a dab of salsa (?). We sent all five dishes back to the kitchen and the 2nd round of meals came out no better...this time the Avo looked like playdoh and had no taste and the "egg sandwiches" were very overcooked and had no taste. None of us will be returning....especially after we all paid full price and were not comped anything for the terrible meal/mimosas/wine and mediocre service (to boot)

The decor is nice and our server was friendly. Other than that not much nice to say, the food took a long time and the portion was meager. I had the soup of the day and Chicken Souvlaki. They forgot my Tzatziki until I asked about it. At the prices they charge you can get a better meal just about anywhere that will take less time.

Atmosphere is great in terms of decor and comfort. Bathroom stunk a little of sewer gasses (but it was a nice bathroom!)Food was overall good quality and selection. Meat burger and chicken burger were a little overcooked (and dried out)....but would still go there again if in Halifax.Dietary restrictions: Have veg and halal options.Kid-friendliness: large open space, can accommodate families, strollers

We held our brunch wedding with 75 guests at the Garden this June. They did an entirely vegetarian menu, with gluten free and vegan options and lots of wonderful alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. We couldn't have been happier with the venue and the service!

Excellent atmosphere. Only one girl serving and a lot of tables quickly. So it was a bit slow, but she did a great job.

Slow service, every dish tasted bad, and not value for money. Cauliflower makhani was worst felt like a ready made sauce from Costco with saute cauliflower. Interiors are good.
