I was in the store this morning and for the first time did not receive good service. The person at the cash told me she did not know if there was any Robinsons. I did find about 30 bottles. I was the only customer in the store and this staff person then decided to disappear in the back of the store. After waiting several minutes I poked my head inside the back and called out that I needed someone at the cash. I should not have to chase staff to cash out. Not a great attitude from her either and no apology for the poor service. A less honest person than I could have walked out with half the stock. Disappointing.

Boss lady surprised me with a festive (turkey dinner) pastry (croissant), and it was to die for!

As a Brit, this shop is like going home. I would have 1 of everything if I could, but if you have to choose only one thing in this shop you must try the pies. They are excellent, tasty and not short of filling. My wife enjoyed a Sausage Roll, and I had a steak and stilton pie, and a steak and kidney pie, all were just great, very tasty.

Great service and product ... Scotch meat pies are delicious - I am in Miramichi and so jealous of Halifax for only this ...

Wow! What a great British shop! They have an amazing fresh baked food selection as well as shelves full of all our favourite crisps and chocolates! Stop in for a delicious lunch or just to stock up your treats cupboard, you won't regret it!

First time in today. Tried the pies, chicken and mushroom and the chicken and curry both amazing. As well as the sausage rolls, delicious. We’ll definitely be back.

I have been going here so often that the ladies and I know each other by names.Yes, they sell freshly baked British foods that you can take home to heat up - yourself. The sausage rolls are normally what sell out the quickest, as they are ADDICTIVE.The ladies normally have a bunch stocked in their counter heater, ready for lunch time frame for those looking for something quick and deliciously filling. There are sometimes also pot pies in the counter heater, along with pasties - but again, depends on the time of day, as they sell fast!!The options for foods is definitely worth looking, I always get distracted by looking around, everytime I go in.The cheesy onion pasty is actually quite delicious if you like cheese and some spice in a pastry. It's NomNomNom!!My most FAVOURITE treat is the strawberry custard tarts.OH-EM-GEE, they are tastebud heaven!!! ??????????When I find out those are made, they don't stay in store for long. LoL sorry, not sorry!I brag and will support this store as long as it is around.

A little slice of home. I am so glad that these guys have opened up in Halifax. Ive really missed my English foods, but let's be honest..in this day and age I could get that from them online now..right? ( Except for the sausage rolls..those you MUST visit and try hot!) So it's the staff that make me get in my car and drive in to Halifax to visit the store. The ladies that work the counter make my day every time I go there..the banter..always a good story or a joke.. and always smiling..its that special ingredient that a lot of stores are missing these days...please don't ever change!

My partner and I were out for lunch. We stumbled upon the shop and looked up the menu. My partner was excited to have a pasty. I was open to trying something new. When we walked in the customer service was awkward. We were excited by the smell of pastries. I was curious about the custard tart but they were sold out. The lady at the counter didn’t offer any suggestions or help when I asked if there was anything comparable to the custard tart. If anything it sounded like I was inconveniencing her. So I just decided to try the pasty my partner purchased. They do not warm up the pasties at the shop. You buy them cold- so we still ended up needing to go elsewhere for lunch. When my partner finally tried the pasty he said it tasted like DOG FOOD and would not eat it. The pasty was an onion cheese pasty…. I didn’t try it because I’m pregnant and it didn’t sound appealing at all. Maybe if the customer service was warmer, more inviting and helpful - and if we tried something better.

Lots of savoury and sweet selection. Had the cheese and onion pasty, chicken curry pasty and both quite good. The cheese and onion is my favorite so far.Well worth the trip and the place smells delicious when you walk in. Friendly and efficient service.

The taller lady is always pleasant and nice, but the shorter scouse sounding one is quite rude. Your products are nice. But maybe she could use a lesson in manners cause I asked for a pasty, and she seemed to take great offenses and mumbled rudely under her breath, of which I could hear.Thank you to the lady who politely pointed out that it was labeled a pasty. All in all, your products are lovely, and I'm not a North American, so I don't expect you to bend over your back to be overly polite. But that lady could use some simple P's and Q's. I am still a paying customer. who may I add wasn't being rude or impolite.
