Best sandwich in the city.I don't feel like garbage during my work day like I would eating fast food.Staff is friendly and there's always a variety of fresh food.

By far the best sandwichs in town, I've tried a few now and each one has knocked me off my feet. Very nice staff as well.

What fun! Prepared foods, imported sodas, soups, salads, pastries and panini. They have pizza by the slice, as well. There's a small selection of Italian dry goods. Not sure if Halifax is a less-than-culturally-diverse town, but one dish was labelled "rice balls" instead of arancini. There are a few small tables for eat-in service. The proprietor was an absolutely charming man. Turns out that is from Ireland but he has family in northern Italy whom he visits. The dolce looked good (desserts. See? My Italian lessons are paying off!) but I didn't try them. The shop is across the pedestrian walkway from Scotia Square. They take credit cards. They have a bustling catering service. Look for the Dire Straits memorabilia on the wall.

I got the mac and cheese special on Thursday and it was delicious! I'm so happy that there are lots of vegetarian options at the shop here. Will be stopping by more often now!

Really good sandwiches and trays. They were on time for one of our catering orders and our guests loved their Sicilian Cannoli!

New to Halifax and very disappointed by the experience. Lots of employees passing by not greeting us, one had an extremely cold expression on his face. The girl who served us was pleasant though. The guy at the cash overcharged us by almost four dollars, I had to correct him. To top it off, WORST cannolis I've ever eaten (the filling was blandish and the shells was overcooked and tasted like old oil) Made me miss Little Italy (Montreal) sooo much

I go here for lunch a few times a week. They are the nicest people ever and their food is delicious and comforting. It's gotten to the point that when I come in they know my order better than I do. They don't even mind my picky eating and accommodate me no matter what. Even when they are "afraid to offer me a side" because I always say I don't like what's in it. They found one I liked and always make sure to get it to me. They're food is great but their service is top notch.

The Vesuvius Hot Calabrese Salami, Provolone, Dill pickle slice, Dijon Mustard, and Black Olive Paste on Focaccia. Had this one today and while it has some build-up heat with the Dijon, the pickle helps cool it while the olive paste gives it a tartness to it. It had a lot of salami on it and I didn't really sense the cheese on it, but that's not to take anything away from it! Great sandwich overall!
