Just hosted our wedding here and everything was amazing. The location itself is absolutely gorgeous and the food was excellent. The staff were incredibly supportive, special shout out to the bun police officer Stephanie and especially to Laura for making everything run smoothly.
Always a good time. Not so sure about the cover charge but still a good time.
A Halifax Classic. We had friends visiting from out of town, and they wanted to listen to some live music. The Lower Deck did not disappoint. $8 per person cover charge. Excellent entertainment, Paul Lamb, that was worth the cost of admission. The food was fine. Go with the nachos if you have the munchies. As this is a pub, you can expect beer and standard mixed drinks such as rum and coke. Anything more exotic than that will come in a can. The age range was from about 19 years old to 80 years old, meaning anyone will fit it. They have long tables, 10 or 12 feet long with long benches for seating. You can find a few tables with chairs but they are difficult to get.
Staff is horrible lost my wallet and they got angry when I called to ask about it
I could not be more thankful for the staff at the lower deck. While shooting an event, my bag was stolen and not only did the event coordinator help me sort things out on the camera, but Mike the bouncer actually FOUND my backpack AND all of my gear (minus bank cards) in a nearby lot!! I could not be more grateful for the AMAZING staff who not only kept me calm, but no joke, FOUND ALL OF MY GEAR AND SAVED THE DAY!!! Mike, Steph, and Laura seriously deserve an award for how above and beyond they went last night. 10/10, thank you does not say enough
Such a terrific live / local Atlantic Canadian music pub! Talented musicians, terrific wait staff, and all reasonably-priced.
This is a true "pub-style" bar with long tables and benches.
Friendly and fun. What more can you ask for?

Felt like a student again! Great music Sunday night, and fun party atmosphere.
Main complaint was the entrance. this might make more sense if they're busier but we entered the main door on the ground floor, were sent back outside and told to go to a back door, climbed 3 flights of stairs, then went through security / paid cover only to go back down all 3 flights of stairs, every floor other than the ground floor was basically empty, finally we went in through the main door we started at. Helped me get my steps in I guess
Cover charge $9 for a couple of guys that were just ok. If you want traditional east coast music this is not the place. My husband ordered a Guinness and brought it to the table with the can already open, it was flat as can be and the glass couldn’t even hold the can.! They had homemade wine, red or white! Couldn’t even ask what other beers they had as nobody to serve or find. There’s a problem if you can’t serve a can of Guinness properly. Didn’t plan on getting pissed but I am in a different way. Very disappointing

Very beautifully designed rooms in the style of a large old sailing ship. Often in the evening with live music.

I would give it 0 stars if I could. The bathroom smells like your in a sewer, the food is trash and they kick you out for being sober. Definitely never going back again, not that it’s a loss at all with all of the great places around the area.
