The Old Triangle offers many types of beer and a great ambience. Had fish & chips. Chips were good. The fish less so. Too cold at first. But it was quickly heated again. The Propeller Pilsner was tasty.

After arriving to the triangle we were greated by a waitress and told told to grab some seats were available. After finding are seat we waited 15 to 20 for a waitress to see if we wanted menus for food we said yes witch was fine we didn't mind waiting.shorly after we were greated by the manger who told we had to leave as the table was booked After being told to grab a table anywhere that was empty. Thanks for our wasting our time triangle !it was our very first time at your restaurant but will never back.

Excellent service and food. It didn't hurt that we had the perfect spot to eat and subsequently take in the live music. Highly recommend the pizza Marguerite!

I'm always disappointed going here for a night cap expecting they are open and serving until 1am because thats what Google says. They do the last call at 12:15- then it's just terrible vibes and then an air of you being very unwanted by the staff. The staff makes it clear they don't really value you being there and want to get out of there at the end of the night ASAP. This place could be a lot better only in terms of service. I love the live music and little snug places to sit - food I've had before is also great.

If you're looking for Fish'N'Chips in Halifax, you'll find the classic at Irish Alehouse. In a rustic atmosphere, air-conditioned, with live music, our evening was a complete success. Plenty of portions, nice and greasy and simply good.

Great British pub experience with great fish and chips, great beer on tap, there is a singer every night. Great waiter also in the 2nd bar.

Live music on Tuesday was excellent! Mark Hinton (sp?) played a varied set from the 70's to the late 90's.Excellent service, food was really good, especially the dessert Guiness caramel fudge concoction blew the roof off.

Lots of fun for St. Paddy’s day. Food was standard pub food. The ambiance was ramped up for St. Paddy’s. Loved the face painting and live music.

Great atmosphere for a St Patrick's Day weekend. We were served efficiently and well by a very nice waitress named Mairinn. Out of all the pubs in Halifax, I've never heard the in house music perform actual Celtic songs, but on this occasion, Theo MacIntosh, who I assume is a local musician, played many original ballads and he played them with soul. I even noticed our server and the bartender were reciting some of the lyrics...great experience, makes me want to go back for sure.
