I went there for the first time this afternoon, it was a…ok experience. The pub atmosphere is pleasant, the service decent and the food is not crazy for the price... It is, in my opinion, a good place to go have a beer and listen to live music, but I will, in the future, avoid eating a meal there🤷‍♀️ Indeed the food was very greasy even in the pub standard.

Wheelchair accessibility: Very inaccessible unfortunately…

The waitress forgot our supper and drinks. The « tomato soup » was actually pizza tomato sauce. The nachos were greasy and sooo salty. They weren’t actually chips, but fried tortillas. Very expensive for what it was worth. Would not recommend.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – A Halifax Classic for Live Music & Great Service

The Split Crow is the heart of Halifax’s pub scene! From the moment you walk in, the energy is electric—live music that gets the whole place singing, a fun crowd, and top-notch service. The staff is friendly, fast, and always up for a good time, making sure your glass is never empty.

Whether you're here for a lively night out, a classic pub meal, or just to soak in some great East Coast vibes, this place delivers every time. A true Halifax gem for live entertainment and a guaranteed great night. Five stars all the way! 🍻🎶

Food was phenomenal and far beyond initial expectations, music was great, staff is beyond 10/10, and the gentleman manning the front door was amazingly welcoming despite his job to guard and filter the door. I dont remember the names of the manager (earring and longer black hair tied back) or our server (curly-ish blonde hair) but they were amazing and exceptionally knowledgeable in the places history (liquor license established in 1749 is bafflingly to me). Will definitely be back!

It's a great place to catch up with friends. Some nights can be busy, especially when there's a live band.

Wheelchair accessibility: Limited. Some sitting have steps to get on to. Washrooms are downstairs. No elevator.

It was a slow cold and rainy Saturday but the staff was very friendly and attentive. The local customers we interacted with were funny with lots of stories to tell.

We enjoyed our evening and the live music band !

This was our first lobster roll and scallop of our trip to Nova Scotia/PEI so we had no idea at the time how terrible both were. The lobster roll is tiny and mostly mayo. The scallops were rock hard. Don’t order either. Go here for the live music and beer selection…..skip the food
