Fun restaurant with interesting decor. They are committed to serving local food. They have a diverse menu with a reasonably flight of beers if you want to try some local brews. My soup was not hot but very delicious, They took it off the bill which showed their commitment to service. I was very impressed.

A halifax staple, giving celiacs and vegans a taste of the east coast š«¶š» my partner loved the seafood chowder with bread; garlic fingers (gf and vegan) are always 100%; and donāt you dare think about skipping out on a piece of their infamous tofu pie for dessert !! True east coast hospitality with the kindest staff who go out of their way to ensure you have the best dining experience. So good we always squeeze 2 meals into each trip to Halifax!! Thanks for another fabulous dining experience!

We recently held our civil ceremony reception at The Wooden Monkey, and couldnāt be happier with the experience. From start to finish, the staff were incredible. They were attentive, professional, and genuinely kind. Everything ran smoothly and all of our guests felt comfortable and well taken care of.
The food was exceptional, and they were very accommodating with creating a reduced menu for us! The space itself was cozy and welcoming, and the perfect atmosphere for an intimate gathering.
The evening was exactly what we hoped for! We will highly recommend the restaurant for private events!
