The person at Tony’s recognized I made a mistake with my order. So they said they would cancel it and I reordered. I got charged for both orders but received only food for the second order. And neither uber or Tony’s would make it right. In short, they stole my money.
Best donair and service in Halifax.
best wrap ever!! i could drink the donair sauce for days
None of the three staff knew what the donair meat was made of. 🤔 Not impressed. Kinda important to know what you're selling. Limited seating. We had the donair and chicken shawarma - both tasty.
Ok, I know, picking the “best” donair in Halifax is tantamount to declaring war, but Tony’s was fantastic. The sauce, the meat, the value, man, this was an incredible donair. I’d hold it up as the benchmark, which allows for other suggestions, but establishes Tony’S as the one to beat!
The best donairs!
These put my home city to shame. I can't even eat Ontario donair anymore. The sweet sauce here is second to none.
May 27, 2025 First time trying a donair, 10 out of 10 would recommend.
Well, after lots of research, this places lives up to the hype. Donairs hit different here.
Definitely worth the visit
Man that was some good Donair. 10/10
First time donair experience for this out-of-towner and it's gonna be my go-to spot whenever I'm back 👍🏻

Ordered two slices, got three. Tony’s out here doing the Lord’s work. Pizza’s hot, fast, and exactly what you need … more than you can say for most things at 1:33am
Very good but barley any sauce
Do not recommend this pizza could not eat it
I visited this place 3 times during my Halifax trip.
My first visit, I got a large Donair wrap - it was actually amazing! It set the bar super high. If I was grading only based on that, this would be a 6-star review.
Second visit, I got a Donair Poutine and it just wasn't special in any way. The Donair meat, which has a nice flavour, gets completely smothered by the gravy and you don't even understand what you're eating.
Third visit, I got a Donair pizza. Sorry to report but that was probably the worst pizza I've ever had in my life. It was dry and bland with a lot of dough and not much on top of it.
While the Donair Sauce & meat are top-notch in flavour, the service and friendliness of the staff was disappointing. I saw that the Donair Sauce is available for purchase in bottles. When I asked the guy to see the bottle before purchase, he was so difficult for no reason. First he shows me a small pack (not the bottle) of the sauce to say 'thats the sauce'. I repeat, 'can I see the bottle', and he tries to make me pay for it before seeing it, super strange. I tell him I need to check for allergies, and he still refuses to show the bottle. Eventually another guy grabs and gives me the bottle to check. To my surprise, there is no expiration date, no nutrition facts, no ingredients listed, which is simply strange in my opinion for any packaged, prepared product, especially a sauce.
Overall, I would go again just because of how good the OJ Donair wrap was, but it's a shame the overall experience differs much from the food itself.
I ordered a regular pizza an expected to get a pepperoni pizza. I got a weird spicy pepperoni sort of donair looking pizza. Then the sandwich I got was wrapped in tin foil but the second wrapper was tin foil too that was cut with the sandwich for some weird reason. First bite I took I got tin foil in my mouth. It was fully unwrapped when I went to eat it but I think where it was sliced with the tin foil on it a piece of it got transferred into the sandwich by cutting it that way. The pizza and the sandwich didn’t taste that good at all. For the price it was very disappointing. Ended up tossing it and going to Jessy’s Pizza for a regular pizza that I could actually eat and enjoy.
