Great little place. So friendly and the food was great! We had donairs, shwarmas and pizza.
Parking was impossible but not their fault.

Tony’s Famous Donair definitely lives up to the hype. Tried it for the first time and it was excellent! The falafel bowl, though, was a letdown since the falafel was really dry. Also, the place could use a good cleaning.

Lives up to its reputation as a top-notch pizza and fast food spot. Prices are exactly what more places should be offering, and the quality and taste here beat any fast food place in Halifax! If you’re lucky enough to have Saurav looking after you, you’re in for a treat—he makes sure you get exactly what you want and always has great tips to make the experience even better. If I could give more than 5 stars for service, I would!

Donair was good, the sauce was sweet and there was plenty of meat inside. Limited seating.
Reason for the lower rating is that there was a homeless person chilling inside basically going up to groups and sitting next to them (myself included) until someone bought him food. I understand this is mostly outside the workers control but it didn’t seem like anyone cared at all and it made me feel extremely uncomfortable.
Not sure if this is a regular occurrence but I feel like if they know it’s okay to keep coming and waiting until they get food that sets a precedent?

Can’t get enough, can’t say enough. These are the greatest east coast style donairs on this planet! Go eat them, eat everything!

The great Halifax Donair and Pizza icon has been lost I am afraid. Lets start with Donair, I starting eating here in 1977 as a seven year old a few times a month. I was visiting my home town this week and as usual as soon as I was off the plane I was ordering Pizza and Donairs from Tony’s.
Something big has changed, the Donair meat tasted very bland like grocery store Donair. There was little sauce and not much in the way of tomatoes or onions.
The Pizza has changes and they use peameal on the crust and baked on a pan instead of straight on the stone, the pepperoni was sparse like I had ordered from Pizza Pizza. It was also not weighted in cheese the way it always was.
Do better Tony’s, you use to be special, now you are serving food like a chain with no skill.

I ordered the roast beef sub for delivery. The sub was just mayonnaise with a paper thin SINGLE slice of roast beef. Subway gives way more. Tastes like nothing, very little vegetable but TONS of mayonnaise. Basically a mayonnaise sandwich. Find the zoomed thin line of beef. Lol. Basically nothing. I would give zero if possible.
