Really great food and good service. We were there at a busy time and had good service. Right in the heart of downtown Halifax
We loved the atmosphere and nautical ambience. The fish and chips and lobster rolls with fries was delicious!!! The lobster was fresh and the fries were crunchy! Our server Maggie was so nice and super friendly! We would definitely recommend this restaurant and go back again.
The shrimp cocktail could have been deveined a bit better. There was a shell in the lobster roll. It was super hot in the building. Our server was friendly and had a great recommendation. lots of space at the table, the fish really was huge and one piece was more than enough. It was so flaky it just fell apart as you cut it. It was perfect. The warm bread as an appie was delicious and we devoured it all. Love the cavendish fries!
Great family restaurant on the waterfront. Good seafood, service was great and the ambience was a fun vibe.
I expected better. Frozen French fires. Haddock did not taste fresh. Overall disappointing
Heather was a fantastic server. Fully engaged... and researched some food inquiries with detail. The lobster roll was delicious. And we all had a lovely experience. The only issue was the kettle chips seemed burnt. Tho I am unsure if that is the way they are supposed to be.
The experience was amazing, the waitresses so nice and patient. Would definitely go again!
The server was amazing but the food was just off. Neither me nor my partner enjoyed our meals. I think you could get a better meal elsewhere. I was just quite disappointed for the price. I did really enjoy the drink I had though!
Service was horrible. Don't think it was our servers fault - she clearly had too many tables. The most annoying part was watching all the servers understaffed servers running around like crazy while the manager just sat in his office with the door open, laughing and chilling. It was clear that the entire restaurant was a hot mess. Half our table got their food and the other half didn't get ours until the first half was finished. Waiting forever for drink orders. Had to clear some of the table ourselves, etc. the management needs to do better to support their staff and to make sure there are enough servers on staff
Lovely seafood restaurant right on the harbour front with fresh seafood and large portions. Nice authentic maritime experience.
Restaurantji Recommends
Great oysters - we had the chef's selection and they were all delicious. Very friendly staff, efficient service. Tasty local beer and wine. Good vibe
Don't order the veg pate. It was dry and tasteless. There were four of us and the only positive comment was the oysters were good. We will never go back.
The lobster roll was very good but small, my husband loved his fish and chips. We wish they had an option for kids fish & chips, we were very surprised they didn't.
The service was great and the food was absolutely amazing. They have a nice wine selection that will compliment the seafood. I do highly recommend this restaurant if you like seafood and don't mind going downtown. The oysters are a must have when you visit. There are 2 parking lots right next to the restaurant, so it makes it convenient for being downtown. I will be going back!
Absolutely loved it there! Great food (oysters, lobster poutine, scallops and chowder) in a beautiful setting. We will come back!
