they took reservations even though closing for a private party that night. they were vacuuming around while we were eating. could not even have dessert. spent over $300 for that experience. the food us all shareable. very slim dinner selection. horrible night out.
Food was okay, service was okay, we were outside, which was okay, 2 of the 4 plastic chairs were covered in bird poo so some rearranging was required before we sat. Our waitress was very nice but pretty scarce. The Oysters Rockefeller was very dry and just meh tasting. The fish and chips was okay. If you don't like real greasy battered fish you might prefer this. It was more like the corn batter on a corn dog. The fish itself was not bad and the fries were good. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this place to anyone so it has maybe moved away from the eatery it used to be?
Great dinner menu; simple, nicely flavored dishes that let the amazing local seafood shine through. Affordable pricing. Great beer selection. Expert and attentive wait staff... several of whom nicely allowed our curious 3 yr old nephew to meet/greet live lobsters, he was most appreciative!! Location is also convenient and easy to reach by car, bike or foot. We dined inside, but the outdoor tables are perfect on a sunny afternoon.
Food was very good - service was great. Terrific selection of oysters and the waiter was very helpful to suggest ones for the two at the table who were 'first timer' oyster eaters! (We one over one of them, but not the other.) Everyone enjoyed their meal and we had a great night.
This was our second time at Waterfront Warehouse. We dined there 6 years ago. It was lovely both times. The location is right on the waterfront, we sat outside and the ambiance is great! The servers are all fantastic and friendly. The food was as good this time as I remembered from years ago. They have a good beer selection and interesting cocktails. Even if it's busy and your order takes a little longer, the view and the smell of the salt water will make you not care. Highly recommend!
The food was great, just alot of the oysters had little pieces of shells in them which made it unpleasant to bite/slurp into. The rockerfeller had to much breadcrumbs to my tastes but it was good. Shrimp on the Towers had no seasoning at al tasted very bland, but excellent cocktail sauce and horseradish excellent. Over all very good
Disappointing to be honest - Lobster and Oysters were ok, the rest of the food was overpriced and nothing special - the two drinks we had were also fairly tasteless. Service was slow in the beginning then ok.

We ate there very early (11 am) and outdoors on the dog-friendly part of the patio. The service was incredibly good -- prompt, attentive, cheerful, funny. The location is great -- right on the waterfront, so you can watch all the world go by. The seafood was good -- the lobster sandwich very good. I advised my dining partner against ordering a steak salad, as I thought steak wasn't likely to be the strong point at a dockside restaurant. And I was right. Stick to fish and seafood.
Service was mediocre. Waitress never came back to check on us after food was delivered. Thought the scallops were good, the portion was minimal compared to cost. Location was great but the value was not worth the cost
Restaurantji Recommends
While the service could have been better, the restaurant was exactly what we were looking for. The food was tasty and reasonably priced and the atmosphere was nice and lively. Would recommend to a friend.
Service fell short. Server argued about the source of the oysters, embarrassing. Training issue. Asked to identify an item on one of the dishes and she did not know and did not return with an answer. So hot inside, did not realize the restaurant was not air conditioned or would not have gone. Food was so so....so many other better options in Halifax.
Both of our main selections were outstanding. I ordered the steamed lobster and my husband ordered the beef short ribs. We also ordered the seafood chowder as an appetizer. The chowder was outstanding. Our server was fantastic as well. He explained things. His personality was delightful!
We come here every time we are in town. It never disappoints. Delicious food and great service. The chowder is delicious and a generous portion. The oysters and lobster dinner are also great. The salmon salad tasted great and my entire family enjoyed their meal. Thank you to the staff at Waterfront Warehouse. We will definitely be back.
It was a nice place and the food was fine but it was a rushed experience. They were constantly coming for the order or drinks, not giving you any time to settle in and take your time to look at the menu. Then due to shift changes it was can we pay so they could cash out or something. Maybe another way of treating the customer could have been better. It was not like the place was extremely full. It was fine and okay but would think twice about going back.
