I was pleasantly surprised, went here for iftar, the food was pretty good, good serving size, and good congenial service, the inside of the restaurant could do some work with slight upgrades other than that ??

Very overpriced. Food is reasonable, portions are average. Kebab was good but chicken was dry.

A Culinary Delight at Turkish DelightI recently had the pleasure of dining at Turkish Delight, a Turkish gem nestled in downtown Halifax, Canada, and I am delighted to share my exceptional experience. From the moment I stepped through the door to the last bite of the delectable Chicken Chop Kebap, every aspect of my visit was nothing short of five-star quality.Upon entering Turkish Delight, the warm and inviting ambiance immediately set the tone for a memorable dining experience. The décor seamlessly blended modern elegance with traditional Turkish elements, creating a comfortable and visually pleasing atmosphere. The staff's genuine smiles and friendly demeanor added a personal touch, making me feel not just like a customer, but a welcomed guest. The star of the evening was undeniably the Chicken Chop Kebap. The dish, featuring grilled skinless and boneless tender chicken thighs, was a masterpiece of flavors and textures. Each succulent bite was a symphony of well-marinated, perfectly grilled chicken that left me longing for more. The accompanying basmati pilaf was light, fluffy, and expertly seasoned, complementing the chicken in a harmonious dance of tastes. What truly elevated the dining experience was the meticulous attention to detail evident in every element of the dish. The salad, a vibrant medley of fresh vegetables, provided a refreshing contrast to the savory main course. The house sauces, a delightful addition, showcased the chef's commitment to delivering an authentic Turkish culinary experience. The sauces, with their unique blend of herbs and spices, enhanced the overall flavor profile of the dish, leaving a lingering, satisfying taste. The culinary journey at Turkish Delight was not just about the food but also the presentation. Each plate was a work of art, meticulously arranged to appeal to both the eyes and the palate. The kitchen's dedication to excellence was evident, and it showcased a commitment to providing guests with an unforgettable dining experience.Beyond the culinary delights, the service at Turkish Delight was impeccable. The staff's knowledge of the menu and their willingness to offer recommendations demonstrated a passion for the cuisine they served. Attentive without being intrusive, the team made sure every need was met, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the evening. The dessert menu was equally impressive, featuring traditional Turkish sweets that provided a sweet conclusion to the culinary journey. The baklava, in particular, was a heavenly blend of flaky pastry and rich, nutty goodness, a fitting end to a perfect meal.In conclusion, Turkish Delight in downtown Halifax has undoubtedly earned its place as a culinary gem. The Chicken Chop Kebap, with its exquisite flavors and meticulous preparation, is a must-try for anyone seeking an authentic Turkish dining experience. Combine this with the warm hospitality of the staff, the inviting ambiance, and a commitment to culinary excellence, and you have a recipe for a five-star dining experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Turkish Delight to both locals and visitors alike, and I eagerly anticipate my next opportunity to savor their exceptional cuisine.

I don't ever usually take the time to leave negative feedback and I feel really bad having to post this but I believe people are should know….In my opinion, in addition to good food,a restaurant should also provide good customer service…but unfortunately, this restaurant should first of all train its waiters well, because they have neglected even the basic things to serve the customers.-Halal restaurant but serve alcohol !!!!??The biggest problem is that they present the place as a halal restaurant but serve alcohol ?!So how can you be trustable??!!-FoodTheir food is good.but the food didn't come to the table together, and one person brought the food of 9 of us at a time interval.-ServiceWe had the weirdest service !!!the service could use improvement.-We asked for spoon to have our rice, Then it came & just simply placed the spoon right on the table right on the wooden table that been used before many times!!!!They didn't even use a tray to bring water, various drinks, spoons and forks, etc…which was really surprising?!!!-all the food not came on the time …-ToiletThe condition and dirtiness of the toilet, which is better not to describe, was not interesting at all…At the end I think they should renovate the place

While Turkish Delight is an excellent halal option in the city and their food is delicious, the service could use improvement. We were asked if we were ready to order before even fully settling in - we weren't all even seated yet. We felt rushed by the staff and once we got our food, no one came to check on us any further. We had to ask for the bill, too.

I have been a big fan of turkish delight for over a decade now. Their food is very delicious and they are able to deliver consistent taste. I first started eating there in 2012 and ever since I am a regular customer. My wife and kids love it there as well. One thing I, however, did noticed that the portion size (specially of rice in the plates) has gradually decreased, so much so that you almost walk away on partially half stomach on a single order. This is a great resturant and the price is not cheap. One suggestion for the resturant is to resume their former portion sizes which were decent. We love the food, and if the rice portion increase in the food means a little higher price, then be it. Atleast, one would not walk away on half the empty stomach.Parking: Depending on the day, you may find street parking close by. Typically, it is at about 5 minute walk.
