This place is a remnant of the diners of old. With a 14-seat counter and vintage memorabilia & and furniture, you'd think you stepped back in time. This restaurant was highly rated for years. It would appear that age is catching up. Depending on what you order, the food is decent to good, and the prices just can't be beaten. As for the service, well, you are treated like family here; you write down your order & take it to the cook, you grab your own drinks out of the fridge, and you chat with the owners like they've known you since you were kids. You have to experience it.

The owners are really nice. It's an old style restaurant. And you can tell they care. The way to get food is take the piece of paper at the counter and just right down and than pass it to the guy. I enjoy it haha. The food is good and they cook it right in front. I've been there 3 times. And I can't wait to go again.

moved to the area a couple days ago, went here because the prices were cheap and had heard good things about it and they did not disappoint. food was ready in 5-10 minutes and service was great. owners are lovely people, we will be back.

By far, it is the friendliest spot in Halifax. Good ole fashioned mom&pop shop. I've been going on and off for years, and it never seems to be an increase in prices or a decrease in food.

Came to Halifax for a trip, and was looking for local places to try, and stumbled upon this place. Bev and Tyler were absolutely incredible, friendly, personable, and quick. The food was absolutely excellent and well worth the money! I came here twice in the week I was there, because the value for quality was way too good to pass up! If I’m back in Halifax, I will definitely be coming back.
